I am happy to say that the keyboard exceeded many of my ...
This is probably the first time I have ever given a five star rating to a product made in China; which I purchased without being able to test first. The problem that plagues the purchase of these Z-77 keyboards, is that they are sold under a ton of different descriptions. From different companies, and with different configurations. The reason for this - I believe - is because these particular keyboards are made in China by a company that then sells them in large numbers to different distributors, who later re-sell them to the public under their own brand name. After having watched many Youtube videos about these entry level MechanicalEagle RGB keyboards. I found that several of them were made using a metal cover sheet on the top of the case, that was a lot more crude and porous. Thus making the 'tactile feel' seem cheap - according to the reviewers. What I was going for, was the brushed aluminum look of the Corsair K70 RGB, without breaking the bank. This led me to a Youtube video, where the version described as sold by "GranVela" on Amazon, seemed to be the closest thing to what I was looking for.I am happy to say that the keyboard exceeded many of my expectations. First: The look. I have always been a traditionalist, who prefers the professional look on hardware. However, for an RGB keyboard, this model seemed to strike a very good balance between functionality and flair.I have the black version, because as I said before, I wanted something that can perform serious "Job" duty, while still allowing me to feel like I'm using a good piece of technology. The case is very solid and heavy. Be aware that while the top of the case DOES have the nice brushed aluminum look. Closer (and nit-picky) inspection will reveal that it is simply a metal sheet, pressed unto the plastic body. However, the thing feels and looks as solid as a tank. There were no blemishes or any sort of imperfections in the one I received. It really does look like a Corsair K70. The brightness and quality of the lights is much better than I expected as well. While you do not get the millions of colors available in models costing more than twice the price of the Z-77, the colors and modes it does offer, are more than enough to make this thing look way more expensive than it really is.My favorite modes are the solid green back light on all caps, or the reactive modes that illuminate either one or a cluster of keys around each key being pressed. The breathing, waves, or snake light modes are nice, but not something I would personally keep on at all times. After all, I'm using this keyboard at work, and keep a steady back light mode on most of the time. The Feel. Wow. The feel is fantastic. I spent a good 45 minutes comparing a Corsair K70 RGB, to a Razer blackwidow chroma at a local store the other day. The Razer "Green" switches, which are a copy of the cherry MX blues, felt nice. But the key travel was kind of short for my taste. That, coupled with the fact that they are also made in china, gave me pause as to why it costs the same as the Corsair. If you are deciding between those two; you should definitely go for the Corsair K70 instead. Yes, the Razer lights look prettier. But if you care about the quality of tactile feel -just as much as I do- a side by side comparison quickly shows the K70 is much higher quality and with genuine cherry MX switches too. I have to say, the Z-77 feels heavier and sturdier than the Razer. The Z-77 also uses an Asian copy of the cherry MX switches called "Outemu". The feel of the keys is very consistent throughout the entire keyboard, and definitely has the distinctive audible and tactile click of a blue switch. The "Outemu" switches do seem to have a deeper sound than the genuine Cherry blues from the Corsair I tested. To my ears, the Z-77 switches sounded a little louder than the Cherry blues of the K70, but the sound of the Z-77 is also lower pitched. Which in my case, I find quite nice. (Bear in mind I own a Model M keyboard, whose sound I love. The sound of the Outemu swtiches as they bounce back up, is a little like the sound of my Model M).The keyboard does NOT need any driver installations, or software downloads to operate the lights. It is a straight plug and play device. Which I love, because I don't want to spend hours trying to learn a new piece of software just to look at pretty lights.Using the modes on my particular unit is really easy too. Simply hold the Function Key and tap the "Insert" button to cycle through all the lighting modes. Also, while in each individual mode, you can hold the Function key and tap "Delete" in order to apply any color to any of the modes. If you don't want any lights at all. You can turn the lights completely off by holding "Function" and tapping "Print Screen".I have been using this keyboard at work for the past 2 and a half weeks for upwards to 10 hours a day, and I'm still in awe of how good this keyboard is. Thankfully, no one seems bothered by the constant clicky sounds coming from my desk. Finally, I have to say that for the price, I was very surprised that this company includes a detachable wrist wrest along with the keyboard. I am very impressed at the price/quality relation that I found in this product. Only time will tell if this will hold up well to my heavy daily use. But I've been very happy in the two and a half weeks I've owned it so far. I believe this is a perfect first mechanical keyboard for anyone. It is also a great option for people like myself, who already own a good quality mechanical keyboard at home, and want something nice to type on at work as well, while still keeping a smile on your piggy bank. I'm very happy with my purchase, and would definitely buy it again.

it ISN'T too good to be true!
this is a mass produced keyboard that is sold by a ton of other companies, but all of its iterations are the same. the key switches are bad clones of the cherry mx blue switch. even though they don't feel like cherry mx blues, they are still nice tactile switches that feel very nice and fast to type on. the lighting is amazing. it is a legit RGB keyboard with the millions of colors in the spectrum. sense there is no special software or drivers for this keyboard it is hard to pin point a certain color like cyan or something. it has a very nice and smooth brushed aluminum finish. it looks very similar to the corsair k70, and l think that is what they were going for. the logo is actually etched into the metal which is very nice. if you don't like the logo then you could sand it down slap a corsair sticker on there and say it is a k70, and your friends would be none the wiser. it said gaming keyboard, but it is really a typists keyboard, it has no macro key function. the key caps are surprisingly injected mold, which means the lettering will never ware out. this keyboard seems too good to be true. ($60, RGB, mechanical, injected mold key caps) highly recommend! [...]

An RGB Mechanical keyboard with the looks to match more popular and expensive brands
*****Note: I posted the same review for the white version of this keyboard, but this black version is slightly different (more lighting options and different level brightness.).Before starting the review I want to mention that there is a youtube video reviewing this same keyboard which I highly recommend checking out if you want to see the keyboard, the switch used, the lighting modes, and just about everything else so I won't add too much to the review. Only difference from the keyboard on the video and mine was that the switch is housed in a clear mold to spread the colors and the logo is in white instead of black. To find the youtube video just search for "E-Element RGB Keyboard Review - Affordable RGB Mechanical Keyboard". The video will be by MS Tech.NOTE: for a video review on the black version, check out a youtube video by Jacob Goodman titled "E-Element RGB Keyboard | UNBOXING & REVIEW"Now out of the box the keyboard is bubble wrapped with the wrist pad already attached and the manual also in the box. The cord is not braided, but the usb is gold plated. Also there are no USB passthrough ports. The keyboard has a really nice looking brushed aluminum body and comes with a wrist pad that is plastic, but has a sort of aluminum grate texture on the surface. The wrist pad is detachable as it is held together by first clipping it into place and then placing two magnetic screws that sit in a little space just under the keyboard. The Keyboard definitely has some weight to it and looks like a very well made keyboard. I appreciate the double-shot injection keycaps as it means the letters won't get erased after many hours of use like you may experience on some membrane keyboards. The switch used is indeed a blue Outemu switch (not cherry mx), so you will get that nice tactile feedback and clicky sounds. It can be loud if you don't particularly like hearing all these clicks when typing or gaming, but i do find it satisfying to listen to. I can't comment on how it feels in comparison to a cherry mx blue as I have not used a keyboard with cherry mx blues for a long time, but it will give you what you may expect of a cherry mx blue switch in terms of tactile feedback. You will probably find these outemu switch to be significantly louder than cherry blue switches when you fully press down the key so if noise is an issue i'd recommend getting o rings to dampen the sound a bit or looking for a different option. The lighting on the keyboard is absolutely amazing. There are 4 levels of brightness (including off) with the 4th and brightest level not looking too bright. It will look bright in pitch black, but if you were to turn on the lights or have some sunlight, you can see it being a bit dim. This is because the LED is housed in an acrylic shell in front of the switch and a bit below it. There are 9 different light modes. Although there is no mode dedicated to having a static color shown, you can always stop the running mode of the lights to stop on the color you wish to have for your entire keyboard by just pressing Fn+ the specific light mode key. Oh and as the description states, you have the ability to do custom lighting by pressing fn+End key. When pressed the scroll, caps, and window lock key will be flashing letting you know you are now in recording mode so you can press each key to light in whatever of the colors you want with no software and simply press fn+end again when done to finish recording.Overall, very nice RGB mechanical keyboard with blue outemu switches that comes at a very good price. When it was sold by Granvela Co., the keyboard was being sold for 69.99. As of recently I have seen a seller 'Truelighte' sell it and they sell it at either 69.99 or 79.99. At these prices i'd say this is definitely worth it as it will be hard to find a keyboard with RGB lighting and static lighting capability such as this one (not keyboards that have set colors for set rows) and a profile mode where you can individually light each key to 1 of 7 colors.-----Note: this similar keyboard is being sold by different sellers at about $100 or more, which at that price range i'd consider other keyboards.

Seriously awesome board (loud)
As this is my first mechanical keyboard, I can't compare this to any other keyboards that I have used for long periods of time. What I can compare this too, is my friends key boards, and keyboards on display at Canada computers that I have tried out for a very brief period. After using this for a month and a bit, I can say that this is the best key board that I have ever used. If you have never used a mechanical keyboard before, I suggest you check out /r/mechanicalkeyboards (Google it) and go into a computer store to try out different key types. This keyboard sounds almost like a typewriter, and takes quite a bit of pressure to press the keys. I love it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a blue key keyboard.

I love the feeling and the design and my only regret ...
I was positivelt surprised by this keyboard. I love the feeling and the design and my only regret was that I was actually out to get the rgb kind but because i couldn't wait I decided to keep this. I am not disappointed. The white background light looks professional and clean. Great feel and great design and a low price.

molto bella
