Q: Product is described as Patriotic, but picture doesn't show. Are they plain as shown in picture?

Yes, they are plain green cones. I don't know why someone called them patriotic. My father is a WWII Veteran, and we obtained from the local VA rep the appropriate grave marker and a veterans' WWII bronze marker for the grave. These are indeed just plain. But we all really liked them -- very easy to fill with flowers from your own garden.

Q: What is the diameter under the flange and the diameter of the flange?

Q: length of vase? length of spike?

The vase is about 6 inches tall and the spike about 1.5 inches. The vase stays securely on the spike and I have attached things to the spike if I don't want to use the vase and they stayed in place.

Q: Does the cone have a hole in the bottom where the stake attaches? I don’t need the stakes but need to make sure that liquid will not seep out.

I'd have to go look to be absolutely sure, but I don't remember there being a hole. I put a Styrofoam cone in them and stuck fake flowers in.
