Mine did not have any odor, so there may be some thing wrong with yours. I would contact Amazon Customer Service.

I can't remember what the exact dimensions were on the Amazon item site, but it fits my iPhone SE 20 with a combined case/screen holder perfectly. The Amazon site for this item says what size smart phones it fits and the internal dimensions, and the internal are almost the same. I just needed to add a little bit of extra room to allow for the case/screen protector.
