Groomer's Edge Power Clipper 401

I offer professional equine body clipping as part of my business and do approximately 20 horses a year, these are honestly the best clippers for the job! Light weight, comfortable to hold for long peroids, and the clippers themselves stay cool to the touch thanks to the external motor. What used to take me 2 hours now only takes about an hour. Absolutely love these clippers, a wise investment for my business!

When it works it cuts nicely. But it’s been nothing but trouble for me. Then I sent it in to an “authorized” repair place and when it came back the cord won’t stay plugged I to the hand help portion. But because I only clip a couple times a year I didn’t realize it until it was too late to complain. Sigh. A lot of money to not just work well.

Our clippers arrived much later than expected. When we opened the box the night before we needed to use it we found there was NO blade. This was NOT in the description. We’ve purchased 2 other types of clippers over the years for our horses and they always came with blades. Minus 3 stars until we spend an extra $36 on a blade.

I have given my dog a hair cut twice since getting these. They work great but do get hot to the touch so you still have to be careful not to burn your dogs skin.recommend them but if you want to trim your dog in different layers you need to buy attachments.

Ongoing trouble getting blades to stay engaged. the supplier talked me into trying other "techniques" until the warranty ran out - the problems continue and supplier says it's now out of warranty. very poor customer service and unsatisfactory product.

Okay, I can't really say that for sure. But I've used expensive Oster clipper, cheap Wahls, and just about everything else in between. And these clipper are amazing.Easy to clean and maintain. Large motor for easy repairs. Handle doesn't heat up, and adjustable speed means blade doesn't heat up any more than it has to (it will still heat up because thats what blades do - buy blades in sets of 2 and switch them out while clipping).Good build quality, easy to use.Two long haired are now two short haired dogs, and these clippers combine with Oster blades made short easy work of it.Worth all the money, hands down.

I have used this Groomer's Edge Power Clippers 401 for about 15 years.I absolutely love them, they do a great job!!! I'm a full time dog groomer and they're used a lot.HOWEVER!!! These are made for commercial use and are very sturdy. They break abouttwice a year and I have to send them to be fixed. I have even tried sending them to anothershop to see if someone else can fix them and they will stay fixed. A lot of maintenance and costto keep them running. The level, care and maintenance I keep these clippers at,I feel they should not need to be repaired as often as I do.
