Ordered these because I was tasked with "proving" our work dishwasher reaches sanitizing temperatures of 180 degrees, even though the dishwasher itself has a digital setting for the sanitizing cycle to run at 182 degrees. Despite this, I am required to "prove" that sanitizing temps are reached during every run of the dishwasher. This seemed the best solution...HOWEVER, the strips ONLY work when the dishwasher is run WITHOUT DETERGENT. Using detergent makes the strip turn WHITE, not orange. I tried numerous detergents, specifically those without bleaching agents, to no avail. I even called the manufacturer, whose rep couldn't understand why this was happening. Anyway, running the dishwasher without detergent won't actually CLEAN the dishes, despite their being "sanitized." Sigh. Look elsewhere, people.

Exactly as described and expected.

Stick on the test strip and simply put the dish into the dishwasher. After the cycle, check to see if your dishwasher is working properly. It can't be any easier than that.
