Easiest, most convenient LM on the market - and accurate!
I’ve tried out just about every launch monitor in the sub-$1k price range, as well as some costing $2k+. The Swing Caddie SC300i is my preferred device. Why? It’s SO easy to use, it’s as accurate as any other device I’ve tested, and there’s no subscription fee. I love just turning it on, setting it down, and starting to hit balls. I don’t even have to look back to see my yardage, as the unit announces it. No network connection or app to futz around with. If you want to collect and analyze data, there’s an app, but it’s not required to use the SC300i. I rarely do. I just want to dial in distances, especially working on 1/2 and 3/4 shots, hitting a target using different clubs. Target mode is perfect for this kind of practice. The remote is very handy, as it makes switching clubs a breeze. It also has a swing speed training mode that lets you measure swing speed without hitting a ball. I use my SC300i hitting into a net. It works great for that. Need to practice those challenging, between club shots that seem to come up every round? Hard to do into a net unless you have something to measure distance. I’ll probably take it to the range too, so I won’t have to laser shots with my range finder, guessing where my ball actually landed. Granted, this device doesn’t show shot shape, so if you’re working on correcting a hook or slice, you won’t see that info. But I can tell when I hit a bad shot by feel and where it hits the net. For under $300, less than 1/2 of what you’d spend to see shot shape, and no subscription fee, the Swing Caddie is the best value out there. Add in the ease of use and it’s a home run! Or maybe I should say hole in 1. Edit: The battery on the SC300i has to be the best on the market. I charged my unit right after receiving it in mid-December. Here it is mid-January and it still has a full battery. And I’ve used it often during this first month. All of the other units I owned/tested (MLM2 Pro, Garmin R10, OG Skytrak) required recharging after 1-2 sessions.

Great Launch Monitor to Improve Your Practice and Your Game
I'm a serious low handicap golfer and am used to high end launch monitors. While the SC300i doesn't provide details like face angle and face path, it does a great job with the carry distance, total distance, launch angle, swing speed, ball speed and several other statistics. More importantly, the data that it provides is very accurate when I've compared it to real world data from the course and high-end launch monitors. I've also been impressed with how reliable it is for capturing each shot. While it occasionally misses a shot, it's usually due to the poor trajectory or off-line direction of the shot. The free phone app easily pairs with the device and provides a wealth of data broken down by club in both numerical and graphical format. I couldn't be more impressed with the quality of the device and the accuracy of the data that it provides. It's already helped me zero in my wedge distances and I'm looking forward to trying a different driver shaft and settings to get the best performance from my driver. The feedback this launch monitor provides makes my practice sessions much more valuable than just hitting balls into the void.

This will help you improve and that's the bottom line.
Bought this on sale, so I feel like the value was very good for the accuracy and data provided. I'd hoped it would work for baseball bat swings too, and I think I've figured out the correct height. Placed it on a box that's about 10" tall and it was picking up my swings perfectly. About the only issue I've had is the app. It's really deceptive, stating that it collects and shares no info with 3rd parties on Play Store. I also tried to read the Privacy Policy before downloading the app, but it would only pop up in Korean. I guess you could copy and paste for translation, but didn't think the Play Store would allow obvious deception, so I downloaded it. That's when you realize they have plans to share most everything with 3rd parties. Additionally, you have to be connected to a network and enable location in order to connect it to your device or to even view your data at all. That's been the most frustrating issue besides the .0001 font size in their directions, but the manual is easy to find online and I'm using an old tablet so I'm not concerned. You might want to consider the implications and if you choose to record video, it wants video and audio permission as well. Correct those issues and it would be 5 stars from me. The unit is heavy, thanks to the internal battery, but since I just hit into a net at home, or set it up at the range, it's perfect for me. I get swing speed, height and distance values that are very useful at the course. The lithium battery life is excellent. The remote is also an great idea that I keep in my pocket while practicing. It's so easy to switch modes or clubs without ever touching the unit. One surprise for me is how much I appreciate the announcement of either carry or total distance. I thought I'd just turn the volume off, but I really love when you're in a groove and you just keep popping more pills down the range while it confirms your visual results. The accuracy has been very good in my opinion. This unit is not as easy to read in the sunlight though as it is angled in a way that you have to bend down to see it clearly. Maybe I will try tilting it back a touch and see if that helps. The app is just ok, nothing amazing, and it does want to connect to your network every time. That basically rules out using the app when you're at the driving range, unless you tie into their wifi. Privacy anyone? I may try using the video mode to see if it's useful, but I'm annoyed with these sharing aspects. Haven't decided that's important as I already video in slow motion with my phone and that has been VERY helpful. Realized my posture and setup angles were not good and fixing those has really helped my consistency. The most helpful part of the app is graphing each club's average distances and lining up a list of your clubs/distances. These bar graphs make it an excellent tool to track your expected yardage per club, helping you make the correct choice on the course. With all that said, this is a great tool for understanding the most impactful part of your swing....the speed and the contact. A few mph more makes a big difference and this reinforces that immediately during practice.

Pretty Awesome for the Price
I was on the fence with purchasing a launch monitor...but man am I glad I did, and I definitely don't have buyers remorse. For the price...you aren't going to get anything that will make your game more consistent. I say consistent instead of better, because that's really what this thing will do...help you hone your game to where you can consistently hit within 3-5 yards of your target distance (I am a mid handicapper) and if I know I can hit my sand wedge the same / similar distance each and every time, it definitely provides the confidence I need out there on the course. I love the instant feedback it provides me both visually and audibly...hell, I don't even have to look at the unit itself to see how I did; it is like having a swing coach behind you at all times. Is this thing 100%....I doubt it, but it is definitely 90% on the money and that once again, provide me the confidence I need when I am playing a round. While this unit is entry level, I don't know how many more bells and whistles someone would need, as this does an awesome job of providing feedback. I guess the one drawback (if I had to pick one) would be it doesn't provide feedback on shot dispersion, but I knew that before I purchased the unit and that is truly the only other metric I would like to see the unit collect on my practice data. Again....I could have purchased one that provided that information, but you are NOT going to get it in this price range. Bottom line....I love the unit and couldn't be happier. Oh, for those out there that rate this thing down given it doesn't come with a "carrying case"....phewy. I grabbed a small hard case from Harbor Freight for $8 on sale and it works like a charm....and it is water proof as well as impact resistant. I would have done the same thing, had the unit come with a cheap soft carrying case. If you in the market...pull the trigger on this unit!

Great Unit, Accurate and catches every shot!
A replacement for an older style that only had swing speed reporting. This unit compares very favorably with a Golfzon indoor simulator that is a professional setup at an indoor range. Iron shots are usually within 0-3 yards, and driver & 3 wood compare at 2-10 yards carry measurements. I have not used it outdoors yet, but with more time and distance to track shots, I'm hoping the accuracy is the same or even better. Very easy to set up and read. The remote is awesome for switching clubs and other settings. I have used it with my iPhone, an iPad 11" Pro and iPad Mini 6 and the videos are good quality and it never misses a shot. I intend to keep using this at every range session since you just turn it on and put it on the ground and start swinging. The voice carry distance announcements are great and will play through my Apple Airpods while in the video mode with my iPhone. Another nice touch.

Reliable Yardage
Convenient set up and remote makes it easy to use. Stays charged for a long time. Checked the yardages to posts at my range with a Bushnell rangefinder and the readings were consistent. Reasonable cost for such an accurate launch monitor. I haven’t used it with the app to check spin rate readings.

Great training tool.
I really like this thing! I also have the Garmin R10 (for a few years) - it's pretty good, but I don't think it's all that accurate and limits in stats with the native (Garmin) app; you have to buy/subscribe to 3rd party apps to get more swing info. Anyhow ... I was originally looking at the SwingCaddie, but decided on this one mainly because I like to see the Apex and a few other stats that the lower-end model doesn't track. I'm glad I did! This is easy to setup (all I did was enter my club info), turn it on, chose my club on the device and it started tracking my hits. I downloaded the app to view my session afterwards and it shows much more info than what you see on the launcher screen - a bonus! I especially like the Target mode; it gives purpose to the range and easy to know what you’re doing in distance/muscle memory for approach shots. The only things I wish are: 1. Carry case. The lower-end comes with one, why not this one? 2. Being bluetooth capable, it would be nice to allow you to playback sound through earphones (on a public range, I'm sure the yardage call outs will be a distraction to others) I’ve convinced 2 other friends to buy it as well

Works good, easy to use and provides the data I was looking for.
Seems to work well. Easy to understand. Results seem to be accurate. Owners manual is in small print and hard to read so I went to the website and downloaded the PDF file. Set up was relatively easy. Remote works well. The unit comes with a USB cable for charging with no wall plug. Third time at the driving range I tried to use the unit and it would not power on. Even though it proclaimed to last 20 hours on a full charge and I had only used it a couple of hours I thought it might be a dead battery. Tried to charge, nothing. I called the support number in the manual. Support tech answered. That was a surprise and a big plus. I explained the problem. He immediately told me the procedure to reset the unit and it came back to life. One would expect that to be in the manual but it is not. The app is easy to setup and use and I like that the data can be exported. I prefer to work with data on my computer instead of the phone. I export to an excel spreadsheet so I can weed out the miss hits to get a true average of my club distances. I've only used the Practice mode to get club averages. I have not tried the Target mode for game play. All in all I am pleased with the product and feel I got my moneys worth with the purchase.

Excellent device for good price
I own previously the 200 and I decided to upgrade to the 300i. The device is perfect great data and reliable, easy to set up and use Higly recommend. I give 4 stars just because the app is very basic and especially the interface with computer is not working so a lot of improvement on this part and will be great because with all the data collected by the device much more can be done to help interpreting the data, now I use AI to get out more about the data

Easy to use
The product was incredibly easy to use and provided enough accuracy to really improve my driving range sessions. Would definitely recommend against competitors for the features it offers.
