These are great batteries for a very nice backup system for my router and WiFi. Have had two outages since I got it and it works perfectly.

Unique concept - can be removed from the charger and used separately to charge a phone or tablet.Update 5/15/18 - downgraded from 5 starsHave 4 of the base units that contain this type of battery - use them on WiFi Airport Units and on a router. I have kept track after having them fail. The base units are fine but these replaceable batteries have consistently failed at 2 1/2 to 3 years of use. Every one. This replacement battery sells for about the same price as an entire unit.

Works for me. Don't like plugging smart devises into rental cars, etc. when away from home and when home can keep devices near me without plugging into various outlets.

It died within 2 years. Not just doesn’t last as long, but absolutely doesn’t charge.

APC is contributing to e-waste by forcing good cells to go to waste. The battery management system in this pack has a cycle count or timer (or both) that disables cell charging. This happens even if the cells are still perfectly functional. They may be degraded from their original capacity (say, 80% vs 100%), but that's still not a good reason to purposefully kill the pack.It's only good for APC because it forces people to buy more replacement packs. Meanwhile perfectly good packs get sent to the landfill (because honestly how many people actually recycle). This is extremely irresponsible of APC and reeks of corporate greed.APC has traditionally sold UPS's with lead-acid cells. That cheap chemistry dies by itself after a year, so they're accustomed to users regularly but replacement batteries or UPS's. Li-Ion lasts MUCH longer, especially if they aren't cycled much. The pack should easily last 10 years, but that would cut into APC's razor blade business model. They artificially kill the pack in service of their profits.I took the case off the pack to examine the innards. The casing is glued together in a way that makes it virtually impossible to open without destroying the pack. It's just another way APC prevents users to service the pack, forcing people to buy new ones. There are 4x 18650 cells inside LGDBMG11865. Common Li-Ion cells that people could replace if APC weren't so greedy and made it impossible to replace without destroying the case.I will NEVER buy an APC product ever again. Their blood-sucking execs are draining our wallets and destroying the environment. It's a wonder they can sleep at night in their ivory towers.

Works great, would recommend buying a second for the base so theres always one to have charged

This system is great for small spaces and providing uninterrupted power to essential devices such as WIFI locks and cameras --- You don't want to be locked out of your house because the power is out!

This unit works in a specific APC backup system as backup power—the battery. Mine did not last as long as I would have liked, and I did not put an undue load on it, over the years. It is well designed and functional, however. I really liked it!
