I do like smaller, dexterous blades and use them mostly for ...
We do a lot of off trail wilderness travel and I was looking for a lightweight full tang knife that not only would be a very sharp slicer but also would take a bit of abuse if need be. I do like smaller, dexterous blades and use them mostly for fresh food prep and something that can easily carve up tinder for fire making, basically the simple outdoor tasks a knife should excel at.The flat ground Enzo necker has proven to be an excellent knife. It weighs in at 3 oz with the sheath included. The spine is about 1/8” at the handle and is fully flat ground down to the zero with a tiny secondary bevel like they like in Finland, making a very sharp slicer. The edge does take a bit of extra honing and polishing but nothing major. It comes with a very nice kydex sheath. I've seen reviews online that say the knife is not retained well in this sheath and one that said there was some kind of velvet type material inside the sheath. It does not have any other material inside the sheath. It is standard, everyday kydex with a very solid grip on the knife. Update; However after many miles hiking and taking the knife in and out of the sheath the retention has become somewhat less positive. It still holds the knife solidly for walking around camp but I would no longer run or jump with it around my neck. No matter, the only thing I do wear around my neck while actually hiking is a compass and the knife usually goes in a side pocket of the pack. The steel is 12c27 Sandvik, the same stainless that is offered by both Mora and Opinel, a steel that I have found superior to their carbon steel offerings. It is a very clean steel that takes just as fine an edge and holds it longer in my experience. My Enzo necker slices through hard seasoned mesquite and acacia wood making a pile of shavings with zero edge damage so it has a good heat treat. It is a nice sleek, relatively lightweight package for what it is, about the same size as the SAK Spartan (Swiss Army Knife for those who are not into that whole brevity thing). I've had it in the wilderness seven times so far and the ergonomics overall have proved out to be perfect for my hand and my use.

Great knife, awful sheath.
The knife is great, with the best heat treat I've ever seen on 12c27 steel. Buy this knife. It's well worth the money. The sheath, however, is junk. My sheath is kydex, meant for tip-up neck carry. The sheath came lined with some sort of grip tape, or something similar. It began to peel off, and into the sheath shortly after the knife arrived. As the liner peeled loose it prevented the knife from going all the way into the sheath. I spent over an hour pulling out the liner, just so the knife would fit back in the sheath. Now that the liner is gone the knife is no longer held securely. The knife came loose when I was walking to my car, and the tip was damaged when it hit the concrete.Long story short, dump the sheath and keep the knife.

Great!
Amazing little knife. Fit and finish are far better than what I expected. I will be adding more EnZo knives to my collection in the future.

Awesome knife, horrible sheath
This knife is great. I have medium hands and it fits them perfectly with a 4 finger grip. I love the steel. Theres just something about Sandvik 12c27. It will take an edge like no other steel for me. When I received this knife, it had a very sharp, yet rough and toothy edge from the factory. It literally took less than 10 minutes to hone it down to where I wanted. After a good strop, this thing will split atoms. I have had many knives over the years, some expensive and some cheap. I have never had a knife that would take an edge like this one. The retention is not the best, but it's not bad either.Ok, on to the bad. The sheath is god awful. You can improve it by heating it and reshaping it around the knife, but still, it is not a good sheath. This is a fantastic knife that deserves much better.
