Angeli - Music of Angels

Call me a philistine, but I'm not normally big on this kind of vocal music. This collection is a little hard to take seriously because of the obvious popular positioning of the title. Nevertheless, it is nice for what it is. I heard really only a fragment of one of the track on the radio, but I bought the album solely on this experience, so it must have impressed me somehow. Note well that it isn't all "early" music--some of the pieces are as new as 1995. Stylistically it all fits together, but just be aware you're not listening to all-1300s all the time.

If you like early church music (even though some of the pieces are contemporary), it's likely you'd fall in love with this recording!It's transcending to say the least

So glad to have this CD. It is soothing music which consists of arrangements of medieval music. I love to listen to it in my car whend riving long distances, or here at home for a quiet time of meditation.

This is a lovely CD- other worldly. If you are a fan of Hildegard Von Bingen, you will greatly enjoy this collection of chants.

This is very relaxing music to listen to as you are falling asleep at night! It is so soothing to the soul.

Exceptional music

This is a really stunning recording.

Extraordinarily well performed by P.A.N. and Tapestry, and beautifully recorded, no surprise from the late lamented Telarc. Delos also did some prime recordings with The Voices of Ascension. If you have Home Theater, be sure to listen in Surround. You'll think you'd died and gone to heaven!

Superb sounding cd. The ambience on this cd would have to be one of the best I have come across. If you're a fan of Sequentia's interpretation of Hilgegard von Bingen, then this is the cd for you. Beautiful sopranos spiralling into the stratosphere....and Michael Collver adding his mellow, honeyed counter-tenor voice to the mix. A very pleasant sounding experience...music for jarred human beings courtesy of angelic gifted entertainers. Buy it.
