Same molded-eva chassis as the gecko, but with a bit of fabric built in, offering enhanced breathability. The wrap-around toe randing and vibram sole give exceptional durability and grip, making these perfect for long moderates or endless ridge scrambling. European craftsmanship, minimal break-in, and precise enough to keep you calm on the approach and descent-bravo Innovation and tradition share equally deep roots at SCARPA, a muti-generational, family-owned business whose headquarters and manufacturing facilities are in the same region of northern Italy where it was founded in 1938. SCARPA builds performance footwear for climbing, hiking, skiing, mountaineering, trail-running and other outdoor pursuits. Aside from being the Italian word for "shoe," SCARPA is an acronym for Societa Calzaturiera Asolana Riunita Pedemontana Anonima (Associated Shoe Manufacturing Company of the Asolo Mountain Area).

Awesome shoes.
These shoes keep your feet cooler than full leather approach shoes. I use them for alot of colorado mountaineering and they have held up well. These are a great alternative to the full canvas crux approach shoes.
