This is for the 45CL-4 Digital, an SCA3000 module, and a digital camera
To clear up some confusion, you need this particular adapter if you have:- A 45CL-4 Digital Flash- An SCA3000 module that supports eTTL (Canon) or iTTL (Nikon)- A camera with eTTL or iTTLIf you do not have all three of these, this unit will function identically to the much cheaper SCA3000, namely, to give you auto flash and manual operation (all cameras) and TTL (film cameras).Other than that, there isn't much to say - you snap your SCA3000 module on the bottom, slide it into your flash shoe, and plug the other end into the flash. Works like a charm (note: on a Nikon, the focus assist lamp only works on the center focus point). I would warn you, though, to watch the documented capabilities of your module - for example, an SCA3402 M8 gives you iTTL with a D700 but does not give you HSS with digital cameras (it does with film ones, which use a different system, and gives erratic results with digital). The M10, which is supposed to have HSS, has none (it even drops the film version).

Works
If you have one of the Metz 45 CL Digital flashes, you'll need this for it to work on your digital Canon camera, along with the SCA 3102 module. When the local importer, (for Canada), had it back ordered I turned to Amazon.com and had it in a couple of days and at slightly less cost.Works great on my 60D.
