MeFOTO SideKick360 Smartphone Tripod Mount-Stand-Holder, works with iPhones and Other Smartphones, fits 2.3" to 2.8" w/case - Titanium

This product (MeFoto SideKick360 Plus and non-Plus) is so good I have purchased a couple for different phones (iPhone 5s, iPhone6s and iPhone X), and as gifts for other photographers. I originally bought my first one two years ago when looking for a good method for attaching my iPhone to a tripod. All the other options looked super cheap, and sketchy. This one seemed versatile, and more adaptable, but the price had me cautious. Once I received the mount, I was knew it was totally worth it!The colored body is one piece of aluminum, so it is very stiff and sturdy. The tightening knob is easy to adjust and stays where you put it.The foot at the bottom of the mount is shaped in a way that it is arca compatible. This means you don't need a quick release plate that you have to mount to this phone mount, its already built in! The foot/base also has multiple threaded holes (3x 1/4-20 & 1x 3/8-16) which means you can adapt it to just about any tripod or mount available. The clamping portion is adjustable and I have no problem holding my phone in its case. Its also very easy to go from portrait to landscape orientation. And instead of struggling to get your tripod level, you can just level the phone on the mount and start photographing or recording video.I suggest buying one in a bright non-silver or non-black color for two reasons. #1 I lost my last one because it blended in with a bunch of tools and and other stuff. The replacement I purchases it the purple color, and it stands out against everything which makes it so easy to find in a full backpack or box. #2 reason is in this modern day when people get hassled about where and when they can take photos I've seen many security guards approach me only to turn and leave when see me using my phone with a bright purple attachment, but I still get great photographs and timelapses.

This tripod adapter is really well-build - solid! One of the things that I researched extensively was whether my iPhone8 and the Moment case would work with this adapter. The short answer is YES! There is not much room to spare, but it is very easy to insert and remove the iPhone8 with the case - no problem. The Moment case is a requirement to attach the Moment lenses. Then the whole thing can easily be attached to a tripod plate and inserted onto a tripod head. Everything is snug and solid. Perfect to take low-light photos or multiple bracketed photos. This also works very well for video work. I highly recommend this adapter.

I purchased this to be able to hold my Samsung Galaxy S5 on my desk and for use with my  MeFOTO Backpacker tripod . I've had it for about two years now and I still love it. It's well-made and very sturdy. It has an Arco-Swiss style base and standard screw mounts that gives you the flexibility to attach it to a tripod. Used alone, it holds a smartphone on your desk. You can swivel the ballhead 360 degrees to get the perfect angle for viewing or for using it as a tabletop tripod. The dual clamps open wide enough to hold my Samsung Galaxy S5 WITHOUT a case. If the phone has case on it, even a slim profile one, the phone will not fit into the Sidekick360. If you want to use your phone with a case, then look into the  MeFOTO SideKick 360 Plus , which accommodates the wider width. At the time of my purchase, the Sidekick360 Plus had not been released yet. I just upgraded my phone to Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and it fits the Sidekick360 perfectly without a case. I would highly recommend this with the caveat that if you have a wider/larger phone, look into the Sidekick360 Plus. The Mefoto website has a list of phones/tablets that work with each.

Very sturdy and holds my iPhone 5s without a problem. Works great on a mono/tripod AND actually works great to hold my phone on my desk at work - props it up so I can see the screen and the sound is better than when its laying on my desk.It's easy to pivot and tighten to lock it in place.

Heavy duty, high quality, allows filming in a bunch of positions horizontally and vertically. It's great EXCEPT...it's too big to hold an iPhone 8...unless you have a chunky otter case with widecsides. My Spec case was still 1/4" too small so...we balled up some duct tape on either side and it worked great. I don't want to return it because i like it so much and it WILL fit the iPhone X which i hope to upgrade to in a few months. it will fit any of the plus sized phones.

If you have one of the MeFoto tripods and a smartphone, this was such an awesome addition to my toolkit, so I highly recommend it! I used it with my LG G3, which is kept in its case. I have a simple, clear, slim case for it and it provides just enough extra width to make it work with this holder. Without it, it will fall out.What I love is that it's balanced well enough that I can use it as a standalone holder directly on the tabletop and even type on my phone with no trouble aside from a bit of sliding if I have it on a smooth surface. When I mount it on my tripod, it just sits directly on top, not hot shoe needed, so easy on, easy off!My first real test of this was needing to "scan" a whole booklet (I used the Adobe scan app) and once I set it up, everything went smoothly as I was able to make adjustments both with the ball joint on the tripod and then fine tune it on the smartphone holder, to get the angle I wanted (directly face down).

The quality of the material is excellent and and well-built will hold up the biggest cell phone they have and the price was right to. Jerry

Excellent product. I use it for the photographic purpose it was designed for. I also use it for a desktop and nightstand holder for my phone. Especially recommended to photographers because it is designed to lock into an Arca Swiss-style clamp without having to screw a quick-release plate onto the SideKick. (Also has threaded holes for either common size of tripod mounting screw.) May buy a second one so I can keep one in my bag and the other for use around the house.

Very solid build quality. Would highly recommend even to just watch videos on your phone or for videography/photos.

This is my second time purchase of the same product. It's a versatile little unit. Works a treat. Comes in two sizes for larger and smaller cell phones. Not had any problems.

Love the stability this has, makes my life so much easier a must have when taking a video or pictures

This is a high quality (and expensive) tripod mount for your smartphone. It is mostly made from metal and does not bend or creak like some cheap plastic mounts on the market. This is the "plus" model which accommodates bigger size phones such as my iPhone11 (with case) perfectly. At the rear there is a small ball head - again all metal - which allows seamless orientation between portrait and landscape modes with minimum of fuss. The base plate is Arca Swiss type and has ¼ and 3/8" threaded holes for tripods. You can also use the mount as a desktop stand and is fairly stable. The only minor negative is the high price which is around 4 times a typical plastic one. But then if you have an expensive phone its probably wise to invest in a good quality mount such as this. Recommended.
