Genuine FTDI Chip
Genuine FTDI chip, unlike the previous two usb-to-RS485 adaptors. This chip is recognized by the FTDI driver with no grumbling or bricking, and it simply works.

A convenient design, well documented and packaged
Needed to test an ASCII laser sensor before connecting to PLC. The sensor required a separate 24V power supply in addition to RS422 4-wire connections. Device worked perfectly, the RX\TX light indicators were very useful when first connecting the device to determine correct wiring; the labelled terminals also a nice sanity check. No problem installing the drivers in windows 10 1809.

Works great - just plug and play.
If you use RS422 or RS485, these are great, just plug and play. Just be sure that you wire the connector properly. I use them with RealTerm to test products.
