I received this book as a gift and loved it so I re-gifted it to a friend and ordered another one for myself. The corner of the book was damaged but since it is mine, it's not a big deal. I just think they should package it in a padded envelope.

IMPRESSION:WOW! I found this book to be an absolute treasure. This little book is so uplifting from the moment you look at the cover. It's a nice hardback book with a beautiful gold embossing on both covers. Absolutely beautiful. This is perfect for coffee table book, or even for book collectors who love fancy spines, because this one has a great one with a gold anchor on it as well!! The inside of this book is just as exciting! Right away you're greeted with very colorful pages, in the classic beachy tones. The fonts used are fun to read and the overall reading is lighthearted.There is a table of contents that breaks everything down into 15 Beach Rules. These rules vary, but are very easy to follow and appreciate. Included also are some wonderful scripture verses and very calming words of wisdom.Personally, I so enjoyed this book. It reminded me to take time to appreciate rest and relaxation with a grateful heart and to ride the waves of God's plans for us. I was looking for something a little light and uplifting. This book was just that. It had a lot of things that made me stop and think. Even more it made me reflect.

I have bought this book several times over to give as gifts. It is a culmination of memories of the beach and ocean, a devotional of thoughts of God and Jesus and our place in this world with Them, quotes from many that are so point on, and beautiful photographs of the beach and water, and so much more. As you travel through each day away from the beach, pick up this book and read a page or two to settle your harriedness (my word)! As you read, you travel right back to the warmth of the sand and the cool ocean breeze. It brings Peace and peace. Enjoy!

This book is gorgeous! It’s one of the best, most uplifting devotionals that I’ve read in a long time. It’s not cheesy and there’s no annoying Christianese speak. The quotes are some of my favorites, including nods to Dietrich Bonhoeffer and C.S. Lewis. The pictures are also quite lovely... very aesthetically pleasing. My issue is not with the book itself. I’m disappointed in its condition. It arrived (earlier today) with what looks like coffee or dirt stains on the back cover. I’m willing to keep it because I don’t want to wait for a new one. But I paid for a “new” book and it appears to be used. Otherwise, I’d recommend this book to a friend.

Love this book! I have given it has a gift many times and now week one always in my “gift pantry” as a “go to” pick me up gift.

Beautiful! Such a blessing, especially during winter months when I need to be mentally taken back to the beach.

It's pretty light and won't bring any great revelations to anyone, but it's a nice book, a good read, with good pictures, a nice way to focus on something else than the daily grind.
