J.B. Camera Designs Pro Wood Grip for Panasonic GX85 GX80 - Handmade in The USA

I've been eager to get a J.B. Wood grip for cameras but they never had my model. I was pumped to see the new gx80 in there as I had just gotten it. I knew I had to get it right away. This thing is sexy and adds so much comfort and ergonomics to the camera. It makes hand holding video that much better also. I used this combo for an event as my main and it performed beautifully. I use this in combination with metabones so I use heavier lenses and it helps tremendously with weight and balance. I like the color also. It took a little bit of getting used to, but once I locked in I don't see it coming off. Great price also and will look to purchase more for other cameras in the future. Quality.

Great design, but it cracked after only a weekend of use. I'll update with the return/replacement process.

The grip is fine. It helps balance bigger lenses. It is not beautiful, nor particularly ugly, just fine

5 out of 5 starsThis very well-made grip fits my new GX85 perfectly. I have JB Camera grips for several other of my cameras; all are well-designed and executed. Great craftsmanship. I'm very pleased with all of my JB Camera grips, in my opinion they add to the sure and comfortable handling of the camera. It certainly does that with the GX-85 while adding very little weight. Seller is very responsive to any questions or issues.

This grip is very well made and it is a must have for this camera. The grip of the GX85 is tiny making it near impossible to carry with one hand, especially with large lenses. But now I can with this grip. Also now I can set my camera on less than suitable surfaces like rough concrete and not worry about the bottom of my camera getting scratched.It has extra threading so you can still use a tripod without taking it off and the bottom cutout allows easy access to the battery compartment. Overall I have to say that this grip is very attractive and I can't think of a reason for me to take it off my camera.

All reviews tell me how wonderful the Panasonic GX85 is and I purchased one as it fit my specifics. I have a couple other Panasonics and love their products but wanted something smaller to work with a particular lens. Yep, it's compact but my thunb hits buttons on the back when I hold the camera with a long lens. Very annoying. This Wood Grip was recommended and I thought I'd give it a try. What a grand difference! Very sure grip, comfortable and it's hand-finished wood is beautiful. Had a small problem and JB Camera responded within a couple hours and very quickly fixed it. They really care about their product and their customer. I'm quite happy I purchased and use this grip, and it changed my camera purchase from 'blah' to 'Yes!'

Just superb. You don't often see products with this kind of fit & finish anymore. It's obviously made with very tight tolerances--probably tighter than the camera to which it attaches. The beauty of this product is that it completely transforms the ergonomics of the rather small GX85 camera and makes it far more hand-holdable with larger lenses.
