Vater Percussion Xtreme Design Rock Wood Tip

Vater offers a solid stick once again. I really like the feel of the barrel tips, particularly off the cymbals. These are big, beefy sticks for playing hard. I've got small hands, and these feel just a tad much for me by weight, but they're great for smash time (which I don't really recommend unless you don't mind replacing cymbals on a regular basis).

I've been using these sticks for years and am still completely contented with their style and durability. Now you can likely chalk this up to wrist and dynamic control, but the last pair I bought lasted me a few years before breaking. If that sounds like a long time, you're absolutely correct. I'm also a big fan of the design featuring a bit of extra length. Having cut my percussive teeth in Marching band, I tend to like sticks with a little extra reach. I've been playing drums for about 15 years now and these sticks have taken home the gold medal.

I saw these sticks at the drum shop one day and thought I'd give them a shot. It turned out that they are the best sticks I've ever held. They play great, they feel right in my hands, there isn't much about these sticks that I don't like. They're inexpensive, they're durable, what's not to like? I'd recommend these to anyone who is used to using a 5B stick.

This item was wrong when sent. They were wood tips. The item looked cheaply made and not authentic. Also some slight marks. Organised a return. Very disappointed that firstly the item was not as advertised and secondly that they are not possibly genuine. I have a previous one of these and the markings are very different in quality.
