... am not handy and doing anything electrical scares the crap out of me
Let me preface by saying I am not handy and doing anything electrical scares the crap out of me. I bought a new pump a year ago and it would cut out at 50 PSI but would never cut back in. i was constantly running to the basement to flick a switch to re-prime the pump. After doing some research I decided to try this pressure switch. It was easy to install with crystal clear instructions. It worked amazing the first time I tried it. I could not be happier.

Review of pump pressure switch
Purchased to replace bad switch. Easy replacement, worked as the old switch did. Flotec is good quality and had no issues with the new switch

So far, so good.
I just got finished installing this Flotec TC2151 pressure switch after my Square D pressure switch failed. No matter how much I adjusted the Square D, the cut on pressure would not go below 40psi, so that it was on at 40 and off at 50. I figured that was hard on the well pump. I was surprised to find that the Flotec comes with good instructions, and the installation went fine. The only minor hiccup was that the factory setting seemed to be off by 2psi, on at 28 and off at 48. After a couple of tries of turning the big nut only, always turning the power off to make the adjustment, I got it at 30/50. So, it's working great now. If it gives me any problems, I'll write an update.

Well Pressure Switch
The reason I purchased this switch is because I've used one for about 2 years on my geothermal heat pump where it turns the well pump off and on many times a day for heating and air conditioning. I'm controlling a 3/4 HP Lancaster Pump at 280', so the TC2151 really gets a workout. So far it has been reliable. It switches about 7.5 Amps at 240VAC. I purchased a second one as a backup because I'm so dependent on the reliability but so far I haven't needed it.COMMENT! - It is really a Parts2O Pressure Switch identified as TC2151 and is black instead of green. Evidently Parts2O replaced Flotec, but in any case the one I have used for two years is the Parts2O.I've been pleased and recommend the switch.
