Cute, good songs inside.

Great book! Most of the negative reviews are from people who 1) don’t understand pickup notes or 2) expect someone who’s an ABSOLUTE beginner to whip out flawless Disney classics.1) to those complaining about 3 beats in a 4/4 measure, those are called pickup notes. Originally I’m sure they weren’t 75% of the measure, but the editors changed the rhythms to be more quarters and 8th notes (rather than 8th and 16ths), so a 1.5 beat pickup now looks like 3 quarter notes in common time. You can disagree with the editor’s choice, but it’s not technically wrong.2) Your child (or you) will need some basic note-reading, understanding of key signatures, rhythm reading, and the coordination to play with two hands. My 1st grader with 6 months of lessons can’t do it. My 2nd grader with 18 months of lessons is close to being able to do it. It is something to work toward for a beginner, but you won’t go from Hot Cross Buns to this book in one easy step.Overall, good book. Simplified but recognizable melodies. Ignore the 1 star reviews.

I didn't like that they didn't show us a sample page, wouldn't have purchased if I knew the actual difficulty level as there are many eighth notes and songs in different keys requiring the black keys. But now that I purchased I'll probably keep and just teach my 7 year old daughter the right hand on the easier songs, if anything so that she learns to sing more in pitch. I'll probably still try to find another book that makes very easy arrangements for amenable songs that are mostly quarter, half, and whole notes in the key of C.

My granddaughter will be excited to get this book for Christmas. Being spiral bound will make it easier to use on piano. Great song collection for kids.

Good for big kids. Not recommend to young kids. 6-up okay!

I was hoping it would have letter notes in it but it doesn't. You have to be able to read music. They should put at least 1 picture of a song from the inside of the book so people know this. I assumed since it's for kids.

The media could not be loaded.  This book makes basic mistakes - not following time signatures (as shown in photo) and makes song “easier” by changing melodies, making them unbearably sharp or flat compared to the original. Even kids would notice the melodies are wrong. I’ve bought other Disney arrangement books that are able to make songs easier while still staying on key and not making basic mistakes like show in the photo (3 notes in a 4/4 measure?! Where’s the dotted quarter note?) Do NOT buy.

Didn’t sound like the movie because songs written in a different key.

Purchased this as my son got a keyboard at Christmas time . Not for kids as there are no letter notes. You need to be able to understand how to read music. Not for beginners or kids. Disappointed….
