I am so very, very happy that I purchased this. I need to hand-squeeze oranges and could not find a hand-held squeezer that fits oranges, so I purchased this electric juicer. I am so glad I did. It works beautifully. Easy to clean, love that you can control the amount of pulp, seems durable so far. The speed is controlled by how hard you press down allowing you to control the speed. Not hard to grip at all. Highly recommend. I have not had any of the issues that others have posted but if I do I will update my review accordingly.

UPDATE Jan 2013 - I am still using the original repair with the wire ties. i got the new reamer on the shelf but the Juicer is still just awesome. Best $20 bucks I have ever spent. The only issue is some oranges aren't sweet enough for me. So I squeeze a drop or two of Stevia and like magic - perfect juice. The other day the handle broke off the darn thing. But I had a spare from the replacement they sent me. So expect the thing to last a year or two. And I still LOVE THIS PRODUCT.UPDATE AUGUST 2012: Stopped Juicing - Reamer not turning- unit ran 8 months without issue. I contacted B&D / Applica.APPLICA RESPONSE They were very specific on knowing the plug number and want me to cut off the plug and return it for replacement unit. At a cost of $7.50 for handling and shipping - hardly a great warranty given the new one will likely do the same thing in the future. That being said it does juice well while it runs. Comments on noise are valid - pretty loud. Not being sure what the issue was, I tore the thing apart as I need to cut the plug off anyway. INSIDE THE unit is all plastic gearing - all in fine shape.UPON FURTHER ANALYSIS: the Small reamer cone that fits on the drive shaft had CRACKED. The shaft is turning inside the Hexagonal core on the underside of the reamer. You can order the small reamer for $2.95 PLUS $10 Shipping.(PART# CJ625-03.) [...]So if your unit APPEARS to have stopped turning but the motor is running -look at the internal shaft to see if it is turning within the reamer. The small reamer is ALWAYS used as it is the drive mechanism. Large one slips over it.OUTCOME: I am ordering 4 of the small reamers. $12 + $10 = $22 but it should now work fine. After looking at the gearing and the lack of wear on it, I think it will run for several years. Stay tuned I will update on the next break down. .ORIGINAL REVIEW- Dec 2011: I got myself this juicer for the holidays. Amazon sent it - free shipping. What I can't understand is what some people want for $20.00 bucks. If you want the best citrus juicer for the money this is it! I love it - love it - love it! Clean up is sooooooo simple. You get citrus for breakfast and Lemon Drops for happy hour. Construction is awesome (pretty good) and assembly is too cool. The foot print is small and the cord wrap base is priceless.

I was looking on Walmart for something like this and when I sow this in amazon I did order it right away ...Love it! Affordable and does the job. I make sure not to press too hard since it is plastic and I don't want to break/burn out the gears and motor in the process. I'd read other reviews where others had experienced it breaking, but knowing it's a lot of plastic, it just tells me you have to take it easy when pressing down.I love that it comes with two sizes to work with since not all citrus are the same size. I end up using the larger one most of the time since it's easier to make more use of the orange (in my case).Love this for making quick work of juicing limes for margaritas. Sure, it's not as sturdy as a professional citrus juicer, but it also costs a lot less. (On the other hand, I've had this for 5 years, and it still works as good as the first day I got it.) I won't bother with this if I'm juicing less than 1 fruit, but for 6 it's worth the set up and clean up. The top portion (reamer, screen, and bowl) always get washed on the top rack of the dishwasher after a quick wipe or rinse to remove the pulp.The screen has adjustable openings to select how much pulp you want. The cord wraps around the base and the plug tucks underneath. Not pictured in the product photos is a clear plastic dome, which is not airtight, but you could use to cover the bowl in the refrigerator. Graduation marks on the bowl in cups and milliliters. Two sizes of reamers.Easy to clean with the removable parts. Love it and would recommend it for its price point.
