Worked Immediately, no fiddling around
I slide my BlueRay drive into the enclosure, screwed it in place, closed the cover, more screws, plugged it in, turned it on... and voila. It works. It was very easy to setup. So far so good it's a good product now to see if it will last.A+ Recommended.

Easy to install
I pulled the blu-ray/dvd r/w combo drive out of my laptop that died. The drive fit perfectly in this enclosure. I was worried the faceplate wouldn't fit, because the picture shows the eject button on the left side of the facplate. It is in fact located 1-11/16" from the right edge of the faceplate measured to the centre of the button. Slide the drive into the tray, secure with 4 screws, slide the tray into the enclosure, secure two screws, and you're done. All the screws are provided. All you need is a #1 Phillips screwdriver and a jewler's Phillips #0 screwdriver.Note that this is a USB 3.0 enclosure, which is a good thing. A USB 3.0 port provides 900mA of current, which is enough to power an optical r/w drive. USB 2.0 only provides 500mA of current. If you are using a USB 2.0 port, the enclosure comes with a Y cable that allows you to plug the drive into two ports simultaneously to get enough power.I just tried it out, and it works very well.

Excellent drive caddy.
Much better than the caddy I ordered off ebay for $7. Expensive but worth it. I was skeptical of the silicone plugs however they work great and hold the drive snug. It has an LED that is green and flashes red when there is drive activity. Holds the original drive bezel well and doesn't fall out. Great choice but a premium price point. 5/5 stars easily.

Feels like "Made in Germany"
I use this with an Hitachi LG BU40N Slim.I bought this drive case because it was recommended by the people on the MakeMKV forums as a case that is compatible with Firmware flashing as well as the recommended drives.Previously i used a cheap 20€ case by techpower120 that gave me a LOT of issues so i ordered this case from another contient and what should i say...this is an excellent product in all matters. The case is made from metal and it feels high quality, no flexing when closing the drive and pusing in the center front so inserting with one hand is easy.I Recommend getting an extra 3A USB PSU to power it to be on the safe side as well as an USB-Relay power socket so it turns on/off with your computer. The only improvement to this product would be an additional 90° angled sata connector to allow for more freedom when placing the device on the desk.
