5 In 1 Heavy Duty Hand Riveter Pop Gun Rivets 1/8" 5/32" 3/16" 7/32" 1/4" Sizes

I have set hundreds of aluminum and stainless rivets up to 1/8" with a right angle one-hand riveter, and while I don't see this tool as a replacement for that one, I needed to set some 3/16 rivets with a stainless stem. The stainless stem is much stronger than aluminum and more difficult to pull. The one-hand tool didn't even come close to being able to break the stems on the bigger stainless rivets. This tool has great leverage, and I appreciate the little jar to catch the stems after they break. The downside is if you have an area with tight access, which might be why you are wanting to use a rivet in the first place, this tool requires a large clear area. I'll keep the little guy for most tight spots, and keep this one for the bigger rivets or other operations out in the open.

On inspection prior to use:1) Very heavy contruction.2) All fulcrum shafts are threaded bolts, easily accessible, and can be removed or tightened with an Allen wrench3) One of few hand riveters that can set a 1/4" stainless steel rivet, rivet of choice for applications where personal safety is an issue.4) Compound leverage5) Requires both hands, an inconvenience when repairing a mast spreader while under way in heavy weather.6) Carton appeared to have been opened and resealed. No instructions or other documents inside.However:a) Tool itself showed no signs of use, or even handling;b) Carton printed with diagrams of basic instructions for use, hazard warnings, and recommended personal protection gear.Giving 5 stars for engineering and construction, subject to revision if it does not function properly.

This is a nice sturdy tool, works fine. My only real objection is the projection on the nose is not long enough to fit in a lot of situations. This severely limits the amount of places it will fit, but out in the open it will install rivets with ease.

I liked this tool because it does the job and does it well. I used it set the rivets on my side ground effect strips under the doors of my 1987 Mustang GT.

I've had trouble with the single-handed rivet guns so I wanted one with more leverage. This one works just fine, even using stainless steel pop rivets I can pull them with no problem. I also like the integrated plastic container that catches the slugs.

I was needing a 1/4 inch rivet gun to attach a front license plate bracket and this worked beautifully for the job. Exactly what I needed, at a great price. The core collection bottle, not shown in the photo, was also a nice little extra. Overall, very pleased.

You get what you pay for. It can do everything it says it does but it takes alot of pumping action. If you have a small job this will be fine.
