Blue Sea Systems Terminal Blocks 20A - 65A

Built well, but too tight.
Built like a tank, but I had to use 6 AWG terminals with a larger screw hole than is correct for the size screw in the terminal block or else the ring terminal would not sit flush. It seems like the terminal isolators are either too close, or this is only meant for spade terminals. I'm using MIL-SPEC terminals left over from a mod on one of the aircraft I work on, so I know my terminals aren't defective. If you find terminals that fit it, then it's a beast. It's not convenient to add a second conductor to each side since space is already so limited, so I'd suggest only using this as a feeder terminal strip for other bus bars. It CAN be done, but be sure your ring terminals have full contact so you don't add a high resistance to your system. If there was just a little more room, and I mean by a few thousandths of an inch this would be a 5 star product.

Size
This is really not a product review since Blue Seas products are all excellent. It is, however, a warning. their terminal blocks are different sizes depending on amperage. The 30 amp ones are the standard size, but the 20 amp ones are considerably smaller and standard terminals will not fit on them.

Wide slots for ring or spade terminals
Terminal screws are number 8 with wide heads. Slots where terminal screws are installed are 3/8" wide and the terminal strips are serrated for good contact with the ring or spade terminals.

NOT STAINLESS STEEL
The online description does not include material it is made from. I asked if it was stainless steel as nd was told that it is made of marine grade stainless steel. It is ACTUALLYA made of nickle-played brass.

good quality but too small for 14-16 gauge ring connectors
This terminal block is good quality but the slots are too small for 14-16 gauge ring connectors. Smaller 18-22 gauge connectors might fit. The slots for each screw should be wider! Buy the 30 amp version instead.

Good, sturdy terminal block
It's from Blue Sea, so you know it's good! We're very happy with it. Make sure you get a terminal block rated for the max amperage you'll be using with the wires on the block.

Blue Sea for the win, again
Consistent Blue Sea quality in this 2 circuit. All stainless, and serrated terminals beds accept full size forks unlike the cheaper knock-offs. Multiple mounting holes make picking the perfect spot a breeze.

Tiny sized! Verify if it fits your application.
Looks like a great product, but maybe they should be clear on what size lugs these baby terminal strips handle. I can't seem to find a fit.

Basic but solid
Does what it’s advertised, but a couple of little things would help. No terminal shield, so beware live lugs. No way to label lugs. And these are simple screws into a baseplate, not a lifting box lug design - not even a lifting plate to offset the screw rotation

It’s small
The product was smaller then I thought it would be. The base is 7/8” wide, 3-5/8” long, 1/2” tall. The hole center to center is 3-3/8”. Im sure the product works fine but I can’t give a review for the performance because it was to small for what I needed it for.

Ok
Bit smaller than I would like. Certain terminals for the proper wire gauge won't fit between the terminal plastic walls. Could have been a bit wider between terminal walls

Using it to mine. Over 6000 watts. Works great
Holding up well to convert a three prong to four prong dryer outlet.
