Update 7.13.25 I am upping the stars to 5 as it's not their fault i have a hard time seeing the clips, that is just me. The vest does exactly what it is designed for. I wish I'd gotten the heavier one so I could use it to work my way up to a heavier weight. I underestimated how much I could put on at once, but I still get great benefit from this one. I bought this vest to "up" my walking game. I walk 10,000 steps a day with 1/2 hr of aerobics. However, I wanted to "up" my game in terms of aerobic benefit, and this had delivered nicely as it raises my heart rate without a lot of additional effort. I can very lightly jog in place to get just where I want to be. I got this also because I like the option to start lower and move up. It turns out though I didn't need that, but still I was glad to have it. In hindsight I wish I had gotten the heavier option to start with but, live and learn, this works for me now so I'll stick with it. The only thing I don't like about it so far is the clips are black both male and female parts so it makes it difficult for me visually when lining them up to click in place while angling the vest to reach them. This is just me though, I am sure. There is the chemical smell that others have mentioned but I expected it and it does seem to have lessened after a few days. In terms of "comfort", well, it doesn't chafe or cut into me so I it has enough padding, that's about all I can say. And if I don't wear a shirt it stays in place thanks to the rubber coating on the inside of the straps. I am very happy with it for now, I took a star off because of the smell and not being able to see easily to join the clips, but those are relatively minor problems in my opinion.

This vest is very well made and comfortable to wear. I love that it has adjustable weight bags so you can work up to the full weight. It’s got a pouch in the front for your phone or accessories. It’s also has reflectors, so it’s great for early morning or evening workouts. Definitely one of my best purchases!

This works great, the only reason I didn’t get 5 stars is because it still smells strongly like chemicals (I’ve had it several months now). I do like there are weights in the front and back. I also like that it goes over my head and clips together lower as to not chafe under my arms.

I am very glad that I did not pass this up because of the negative reviews. I did a lot of research before buying this vest and I am confident I made a good decision. There was a faint smell when I first opened it but it went away. I don't know if some vests smell more than others or if some people are just sensitive but I barely noticed the smell and it did not transfer to my clothes. Having the ability to adjust the weights is great but I've maxed out the weight so that isn't a big plus for me anymore. It is pretty comfortable considering it weighs 32 pounds. It fits very well and does not move around (I'm 6 feet and 210 pounds). It is a bit challenging to put on and take off because it does weigh 32 pounds (but it is hard to blame the vest for that). I've had no issues with leakage of the sand. A big plus is that you can store your phone and keys in the front (many competing products have the storage in the back). If I wanted to find something to be critical about, it would be that maybe offering other colors would be nice...I live in Arizona and yes, I walk in the heat with it and black is probably not the best color although it may not make much difference.

I bought the Zelus 20-32lb adjustable weight vest. This is my first weighted vest and I didn't want to have to buy multiple vests, so I went with the higher weight. Out of the box, first impressions: it has that classic neoprene smell. It's obvious but it wasn't overwhelming for me personally. It's heavy. I'm not in any kind of shape (except round) so may have overdone it on the weight, but that's not a product flaw. It's soft and sits comfortably on my body. The base 20lbs feels evenly distributed over the front and back of the vest. It feels high quality, but only time will tell on how well it holds up. It has reflective striping for safety on nighttime walks. Overall, super happy with this purchase and I feel it will serve me well on my fitness journey. I wish you all the best on your journeys.

I looked at many vests before deciding on this one; the fact that I could adjust the weight was a big selling point for me. I had done some minimal rucking and thought a vest would be good. I read other reviews on this product and I agree that it does have a bit of an unpleasant odor when it is first unpacked. Not overpowering, but definitely present for days.... HOWEVER, the smell did not transfer to my clothes - so big win for that. I got this vest a couple of weeks ago and have used it nearly every day for walking. My first time, I used all the weights (so a total of 20 pounds). After about 1.5 miles, my shoulders were hurting. After I took it off, my shoulders had red marks where the vest was sitting. For my second use, I took off 5 pounds (two of the little weighted bags) and it was definitely better. No red marks, so I guess the original 20 pounds was just too heavy for me? My shoulders and body ached a bit for several days (not unbearable) but I am pleased to say that a couple of weeks later, I am still at the 15 pound level, and can wear it comfortably now for up to 4 miles (I could probably wear it longer, just haven't done so yet). I was surprised that I was/am sore in the places I was (a little bit in legs and core) - so I guess it is doing something good for me. I definitely feel I am "working harder" when I walk with the vest - heart beats harder/faster, I can feel it pretty much everywhere, and have find myself sweating. So overall, after getting myself use to it, and experimenting to find the right weight for me, I am glad I purchased this vest! Though it does look like I am wearing a bullet proof vest on my walks....

My wife wanted this. She is 5'1". She uses it routinely and it fits her well. I'm 5'10" and it feels small. What makes it nice is that you can adjust the amount of weight in it using the bags. So many weighted vests come with a single weight. The drawback is that this vest uses bags that you add as desired and when placed in the holder pockets make the vest - lumpy. My wide doesn't seem to care - it feels weird to me because the bag lumps hit me wrong. It's made of neoprene, which picks up odors and holds them very well (if you know what I mean). We haven't washed it yet, so I can't speak to that. The vest does have some amount of reflective material for use at night and that seems to work well. There are plenty of places to clip a strobe if you wanted to. We take ours off the bikes and clip them to the vest. As one of the few weight adjustable vests out there, this appears to be a solid product. Beware, they also make non-adjustable vests which weren't rated well compared to others by CR. If you want adjustment though, or if you're entering this exercise space and what to find out if it's right for you this is a very good entry level product.

I am really pleased with this weight vest. I like how I can change the weight. Makes it easy for everyone in the family to use it. I am ready for one that weighs more at this point but this will still be useful while weight training etc. It's pretty comfortable, but until you get used to it, it can press down on your shoulders and neck a bit and become uncomfortable if you have it on for long periods. I'm pretty petite though so maybe less of an issue for others. I saw a lot of complaints about the smell. While it does have a strongish smell when I first got it, I didn't find it bothersome. I was wary because I am super scent sensitive. It smells like new tires or new heavy gym mats and I don't mind that smell so it doesn't bother me. I wear it on walks and the smell was gone in a couple weeks, I'd say. Another concern someone else had mentioned it that it can't be thrown in the wash because the base weight of the vest is 4lbs. That's true. Also doesn't bother me. It's only me wearing it (so far) and I supposed you could spot wash, or dunk it in soapy water and let thoroughly dry and it would be fine. That all being said, I would recommend this vest and plan to buy another of a different weight.

Tiene buen tamaño, además puedes quitarle peso cuando empiezas o aumentarle , conforme superes el inicio

Me gustó el material es resistente y la opción de aumentar o disminuir el peso, así como el diseño ya que no estorba con los brazos. Con respecto al aroma q mencionan en otros comentarios desaparecen a los 3 a 5 días. Recomiendo este chaleco.

Just opened it Impressed at first glance Smells very chemical but hopefully that will go away once I wear it outside a few time and here in Canada it will just end up smelling like wild fire smoke I like how it feels on The vest alone weighs 4 pounds and it is actually quite nice I’m a teacher and I’ve worked with children who needed deep pressure and sometimes would have weighted stuffed animals and I have also used a weighted blanket which reduced anxiety I can see this helping with that too even just sitting wearing it now it feels nice having that weight on me I did my research on how much weight to use for my body and it was recommended to use 5% of your body weight so I’m going to start with 7 pounds The little 1 pound bags are easy to take out and add and the front pocket for keys or phone is nice too I should have gotten the pink one what was I thinking?!? Oh ya the black one had 10% off Anything to save a few bucks Will update after I do some housework or go for a walk
