Given the force these struts produce, I assumed they would come with the 13mm ball end fittings, but no. They are fitted with 10mm ball ends, so I had to order the 13mm ball (8mm thread) fittings separately. The one I have in use seems to work ok but time will tell how they hold up on a snowmobile trailer clamshell cover that gets a ton of salt spray in the winter.

The piston located on the bottom side of my travel trailer door had gone bad and the door would not stay open. Even the lightest breeze would cause the door to close. I removed the old piston and noted that there were various numbers printed on the side of it. I got on Amazon and started searching and found the piston with the same numbers as what I had, and in the same size as my old one. The new item arrived a day later, and it was super easy to install and now it firmly holds the door open. I got the 15 lbs holding power version and it is perfect for the door.
