Sweep attachment
I purchased this May 2025 and thought I'd finally leave a review. It's lightweight and convenient plus well made also I have had no issues with the way it performs, what I do like is the "sweep" attachment as it removes any of the cut hedge off the top instead of having to try and pick them off, and I don't have the worry of going through a cable I can cut my entire hedge with a single charged 4.0ah battery.

A well worth investment
As expected, an excellent tool, works well, Iโm glad I went for the 55cm the sweep is good too clears what you have cut, I would recommend. It was cheaper on Amazon then Ryobi.

Ryobi 55โ hedge trimmer
Used for the first time today, found it easy to use, lightweight and maneuverability was good. One side of the product let it down and cost it a star, the plastic cover to cover the cutters was extremely difficult to remove and no matter how I tried, canโt get it back on after cleaning, would have been far better to use a hood style cover to just slide on. Shame cos nice bit of equipment

Quality hedge trimmer.
Nice bit of kit. Bought it to tackle a decades old ivy that was covering my wall. Cut through 2-3cm branches easily. It is well balanced and the battery seemed to last a decent amount of time, maybe an hour of continuous use. I have three Ryobi 4mah batteries so plenty of back up there. Overall, Iโm happy with the purchase.

Powerful and efficient but not the highest cutting speed.

Good machine, cuts reasonably thick branches.
Great machine, cuts reasonably thick branches, however it's not built for heavy stuff. Gets through approximately 10mm branches with ease. Batteries last well. Well worth the money.
