I have several 11+ comprehension guides from Accolade Press which were all outstanding, so I was extremely keen to get my hands on this new GCSE guide. In my opinion, Accolade Press has produced some of the best quality educational material that I’ve had the pleasure of reading.This guide is ideal for GCSE students who are looking to improve their exam technique and understanding. I was particularly impressed with the model answers and the in-depth expert analysis. A personal highlight in this guide was a sample answer in response to a newspaper article. The annotations/footnotes are incredibly helpful and provide guidance to students in how to structure a top-tier answer.Readers of this guide are truly getting their value for money because the content can only be described as excellent! This is an excellent resource. Clearly written with in-depth examples relating to the actual techniques students need to demonstrate.As a tutor/teacher I am recommending my tutees/students purchase this resource as it stretches and challenges those students who are aiming to achieve the highest marks possible.I have bought numerous English Language guides and this one is clearly different as there is a lot of focus on the skills needed.As an educator I would highly recommend.I was given a digital copy of this book for review.

This is the perfect revision book to gain an A* in your exam. It is clearly set out with sample papers and full clear sample answers for each question. It is very easy to follow it breaks down the question and gives clear guidance on how to answer each question in paper 2.

This a fantastic resource. Much like the Paper One Guide, this is comprehensive and thorough, explaining the demands of Paper Two English Language clearly. It provides model answers with accompanying annotations. Easy for students to follow.I would highly recommend it for years 10 and 11.
