Absolutely MostStriking Aquarium I've had in 40 Years of Being an Aquarist!!!
I have been an aquarist for well over 40 years, but wanted to downsize, and this aquarium is absolutely one of the best purchases I've ever made. I purchased a 12" high Oriental stand which supports 200 pounds and put this aquarium on it, and populated with live plants, the aquarium is strikingly gorgeous. One thing I love about it is that there are NO seams that one must watch for leaks; it's a molded unseamed aquarium so gone are the worries of leaks. Another thing I love is that there are 360 degrees of beauty; you can see it from all angles. There are so many positives about this aquarium that I can't even list all of them. The filter that comes with it is powerful and processes water faster than larger filters I have ever seen in the past, in all my experience. The LED light is spectacular, though I could have done without all the different color displays because my personal preference is an ordinary light, but it's a low-light which means that if you want to culture live plants, you need to be careful of what you get. Go to a GOOD aquarium plants outfit that can advise you on plants for this LED light. It also has a very good cover with two knock-out sections that you can remove if you put in more equipment than the light and filter that come with the aquarium. Now for the important news. This kit has the filter and the light with it. Don't think that you're getting everything you need with the kit. You must also purchase a heater (I suggest an adjustable one, not one that is preset), and a thermometer to monitor the heat in the aquarium. I added a UV sterilizer to cut down on the micro-organisms that cause disease in the fish and other livestock with which you populate the aquarium. It may not be necessary, but it will sure cut down on diseases in the tank. In addition to the heater, thermometer, and UV sterilizer, I was able to find an excellent strip of LED plant grow lights to turn on for part of the day for the plants. All of my plants, with this light being on for part of the day, are a beautiful green. You must also purchase a substrate. If you're going to have plastic plants, gravel will do. But if you're going to have live plants, you need something like Flourite Black "sand", or Flourite Black which have the nutrients you need for the plants. (Flourite also comes in a red clay color which I have in my quarantine tank.) Expect that you're going to spend some money on this aquarium. I also suggest an excellent power strip, preferable one which has individual off/on switches for each outlet. The reason for this is that when you add the nitrifying bacteria to season the water with beneficial bacteria, you'll need to turn off the UV sterilizer for awhile, and the power strip with the individual switces are much easier than having to unplug the item you want/need to turn off. As another example, I'm going to be doing some pruning today, and need to turn off all the electrical items; all I have to do is flip the switches instead of unplug and replug all the items. Get a GOOD stand that will support the weight of this aquarium. It holds six gallons of water, and this translates to 50.071 pounds, so a little stand won't do. Unfortunately, aquarium stands are not designed for round aquariums, so I went to furniture stores and ended up with the graceful stand that I have. Be aware that with the aquarium at 19" tall, you're going to have to consider not putting it up too high or you won't be able to clean it - and that's something else you'll need; a gravel cleaner/siphon system which is not terribly expensive. It runs on batteries. So the end is that this is a fantastic aquarium and system, but this will not be the end of your spending. Be prepared to do so if you want a beautiful looking tank that this aquarium will give you. If you want suggestions on the parts that I suggested for the aquarium - brands - email me through Amazon and I'd be happy to answer you.

... me start out by saying this is a really nice tank for the money and is generally a well-thought ...
Let me start out by saying this is a really nice tank for the money and is generally a well-thought out package. I am going to use this aquarium as an isolation tank for new fish to be "decontaminated" and checked out for a few weeks before they go in my big (60 gallon) fresh water tank.Problem appears to be how things are worded on Amazon versus what you really get with the shipment. To wit:1) First, someone needs to change the PRODUCT DESCRIPTION as it appears on Amazon Product Description (copied and pasted here) specifically says: "Easy to assemble, this aquarium also comes with fish food and water care starter products."True, the product is really easy to assemble (great project for 7 or 8 year old under adult supervision because we never splash or spill water near electrical outlets-right adults??) Good safety advice on use of "drip loops" to prevent accidental shock or damage to equipment. Bravo! However, when I opened my sealed aquarium box and there were NO fish food or water care starter products included. Booo.2) There was no air pump, air hoses, etc. or anything else to pump air into this deep (almost 20" deep) aquarium. Yet, the parts book clearly shows an air pump and air hose numbers for smaller aquariums by the same vendor. Was this just missing from my shipment or not?The descriptions on Amazon don't say anything about an air pump, but in my humble opinion, I would not put 4 or 5 fish in this deep aquarium (or any aquarium) without an air pump, hoses, etc. to make sure there was plenty of oxygen distributed around the inside of the tank, particularly at the bottom of this particular tank. I'm sure this package was well thought-out and engineered correctly and it would help if the description on Amazon and the directions that come in the box indicate if an air pump is needed or not.3) I decorated this aquarium with nice fake plants and the multi-color LED supplied with the tank did a nice job of lighting things up.4) The power filter that comes with the unit does seem to provide adequate water circulation, down to a certain point in this tank and the new, little filter inside the power filter seems to be easy to change and would catch all the impurities you might get with a few small fish. Directions and Q+A on Amazon Product Description do a good job describing how many fish you should add and how often to change the water, again bravo - nice job on that one.The only point I would add is that if you are going to use straight up goldfish only (5 or 6 goldfish), remember that these are very dirty fish, so maintaining a water Ph level of 7 (ideal), along with frequent water and filter changes (as described in the product Q+A) becomes critical to whether the fish live or die.In addition to the water care products that are recommended under the product description, be sure to add helpful (necessary) bacteria to the tank when you start the tank up and continue to add bacteria (as indicated by the instructions) for the first three or four days BEFORE ADDING THE FISH. This will also reduce the stress on the fish, when you add them to the brand-new aquarium. I usually recommend Fluval "Cycle", if you follow the directions on the back of the bottle, you'll help to ensure the startup and overall success of your aquarium. Good Luck.P.S. Buy a water Ph meter for $20-$25.00, it will pay for itself by helping to keep the fish alive and avoid buying new ones all the time!Yeah-double bonus! You can use it on the water in your home to see what you're drinking as well. Chow!

I do not recommend
It arrived chiped and cracked at 2 different places, fortunately, they are situated at the base so the aquarium doesn't leak. Also, the aquarium is surface, which is made of plastic, is very easy to scratch. Furthermore, the filter that comes with it shoots the water horizontally which creates a very strong current and the suction cups mark the ''glass''. Overall I did not enjoy my experience with this product but I still managed to make something special with it, so if you're an experienced aquarist that would like to make a special project, go ahead!(Also, the fact that the tank is narrow makes it unsuitable for most aquarium fish, even Nano fish. I first tried a school of 7 Ember Tetras and found that they were very unhappy. It is acceptable for a Betta though.)I would advise to change the filter for a Marina Slim S10

Pecera Sencilla

Not the best tank 😕
I bought this for my king veiltail betta , with 2 neon tetras. They seem to love it. Problem is it doesn't come with a heater which I knew before I purchased. But its hard to see the back of the tank. The filter isn't the greatest as you can see in the picture the water is not clear. And I have cleaned the tank yesterday. Over all its an alright tank

Larger than expected!
Purchase on sale. Very happy with purchase. I needed a second tank asap as I couldn't get my water levels under control with adding new fish and I had baby guppies that just couldn't live in that environment.I was very surprised by the size. I have it next to my 10 gallon and it feels larger. I love the light settings and the filter is decent. No added decor or rocks or extras. Just the basics of a tank, filter and light. But for the price it's worth it to me, even before the sale. I decided to just switch all fish to this new tank. They are very happy with the added height and swimming all around!

Move along. Don't waste your money
This fish tank SUCKS!! Don't let the beauty of it fool you.It is so so so hard to see the fish in it because it's so distorted - it's really quite crazy. I had read another review mentioning the same thing and I didn't believe it. Big mistake Also. The pump just quit. Died. Kapoot. It was delivered on Feb 9th - given as a gift to my daughter on the 13th and now- here we are March 21, just over a month later and it's completely dead. What's worse is the return by date is already past.I do NOT recommend this fish tank what so ever. (We have the 6 gallon)
