My son is training for next year's Ironman competition and uses similar energy gels to these. Every Saturday he does over a hundred miles on his cycle and runs and swims through the week. He hasn't tried these before but said that they worked as well as other similar products and would be more than happy at paying this price himself.

The flavour is pleasant, like a sweetish orange puree. So convenient and easy to open and swallow. Much better than energy drinks, easy to pop in a pocket or bag and quicker to get down the hatch too! I've found they really do make me feel more energy and as a result more focussed too. A great boost for when i need one!

This was my first time trying any type of "Energy Gel" before so i wasn't really sure what to expect from it when i ordered them. After using the VOW Half Time gel over the last couple weeks i can see why it would be a popular choice for getting a decent intra energy fix as its helps offer Hydration & Energy with 22g Carbohydrates & added electrolytes giving you that all needed boost without being heavy on the stomach. I've done it in the past & had a pre workout to soon before starting training or drank some BCAA's mid workout & then had it sloshing around while i'm trying to workout which is not fun at all, as it takes your focus away from the job in hand & ruins the training session. This is where these energy gels from VOW come into their own as they can offer hydration, energy & electrolytes without the risk of any bloating. VOW has three gels that are all set up to give your body the best ingredients it needs at the right time so the KickOff has caffeine to give you that starting boost the HalfTime is energy & electrolytes while the FullTime gives you BCAA's for the recovery. I personally think these would suit athletes for things like long distance running, cycling or other endurance sports as you could get that all needed boost without having to ingest a lot, plus they are light & easy to carry, suitable for Vegans, tested for banned substances & approved by Informed Sports. As for the flavours i've tried the apple & orange ones so far & they both tasted pretty good. Overall though i definitely see VOW's potential & would recommend it to others although i feel its geared up for more higher end athletes that compete rather than myself.

Nice orange flavoured energy and electrolyte replacement gel. My husband uses these after long distance cycling and when mountain walking. He has found they work really well and help his stamina and endurance. The days of when you saw athletes etc eating bananas when performing have now been taken over by a much more scientific approach. Good price and reputable brand
