Awesome tool! My project came out great. This thing was a lifesaver. The thread on my pipe to connect the hose was super rusted. And had giant clumps of rust. I thought I would have to call a plumber to replace the whole thing. I saw this and tried it. It worked like a charm. The bits are super strong and durable, All I did was follow the thread and just grind it down to size. Grounded all the excess away. I got this item for 15 bucks. A $15 fix. Totally worth the money. I wish I would have taken a before and after photo.

Expensive but it does work well

Worked great I have an e-bike that I got for $100 and the kickstand is mounted on the back axle bolt ( not a good design for this bike and probably any e-bike with a motor built in to the rear wheel for that matter) either way I got the bike like I said for $100 it was a demo bike that was in a store for sometime and once I brought it home I realized that the axle bolt was completely stripped on the rear axle due to the kickstand rocking on the axle so I had no way of attaching a nut to secure the frame to the axle on one side of the rear bike axle. Since the axle went through the motor of the e-bike that was a real problem so I bought this kit to try and inexpensive repair of the axle threads and to my surprise it worked really well I was able to get the groves deep enough to reverse thread a nut onto the axle and allow the nut going on in reverse to carve the threads even deeper and then once again I used this tool to put even more definition to the axle threads. It comes with two heads so I used the smaller one first and then the larger head second. That’s how it worked effectively for me but depending on your need you may find it better to use one over the other or both heads in a different sequence. Best thing was that I was in fact able to tighten a new nut onto the axle and secure the wheel/motor to the frame. Don’t know how durable it is because I have only used it once and I would say that it was easy to use but it does require a bit of a steady hand to use it effectively since there is no guide but it can be done and it is very effective if used correctly at least in my case.

This repaired damaged aluminum threads in a Seadoo ride plate well enough to seal completely once anaerobic thread sealant was applied. Keep in mind, your skill will determine how successful the repair will be. Plan and practice on a piece of scrap first to get a feel for it.
