Dynotag Web/GPS Enabled QR Code Smart Round Metal Tag and Ring. Pet Tag, Property Tag - Multiple Uses.

In the unlikely event that my cat gets lost, I'm convinced I'll find her again. I like the idea that any random human can be relied on to scan a QR code with their phone. The QR code links to a website, which asks the phone for its GPS coordinates and sends them to the pet owner... it's a really neat system.The website contains your contact details. Each section can be protected by a password which is printed on the pet tag. You can enter medical conditions, allergies and registered vet among other details. If the human who finds the pet is reluctant to meet a random person, even with the offer of a reward, they should be happy to drop the pet at the registered vet, who will likely recognise the pet.One small flaw in the system: you have to hold the pet still to scan the QR code, as it's quite small. I realise that can't be fixed without tattooing the code on my cat's head, which I'm not going to do, so I'll just have to live with it.

Great idea. However Being made from soft aluminium metal, the dog has already managed to wear away the edges and change the shape of the disc. The code is still intact for now, but give the dog another few months to work on that one and I'm not so sure!Update 25 Nov 2014 ... Tag replaced (foc) by manufacturer with an updated version made of steel with a tough clear plastic coating. It certainly feels much more robust than the last version. The dog now has her smart new tag attached to her collar, so let's see how her product testing goes with this one. Up-rated to 4* (from 2*) with great customer service from the manufacturer. I will update this in a few months time.

Arrived on time. Easy to set up the activation and enter all relevant information for my dog and how to get my dog back to me should it ever get lost.

This is working as expected & it looks smart. Easy to setup & very detailed, I would buy one again if the first was lost or damaged & it is priced just right to, thankyou.
