Bailey's Book House

This was the exact software I had been looking for that I used in teaching many years ago. Now I gave it to my four year old grand daughter and taught her how to use it. Her favorite part was the books she could write by deciding on the main character, the location, etc. and then she could print that book and color it!! She loved the letter machine as well. She will be "growing into" the rest of the programs.

I love this program. I used to work with disabled children and this cd was a very effective teaching tool that the kids enjoyed. The concepts are presented in an entertaining manner so that the children learn while playing. The typewriter game shows the letter in either alphabetical format or true typewriter format, which makes the program also useful for older children. You can select the degree of difficulty making it appropriate for a wide range of ages and IQ levels. I highly recommend it to parents looking for a fun way for their children to learn.

I like everything about this product but the way it looks on screen. This is probably a compatibility issue (I have Window XP): I can't increase it. I think if the program would resize to full screen size, my daughter would be more attracted to it. For now, I like it much better then she does, hopefully she will warm up to it. The educational value is great and activities are presented in an interesting, entertaining way. I think it's a great alternative to other educational programs we have like Clifford, Pencil-Pal Kindergarden, Caillou and others

My twin 5-year-old girls found out about this game at kindergarten. They had some much fun with it I bought a copy for them to play at home. It's their favorite computer game and they ask to play it every day. I bought Millie's Math House and they like that one almost as much. I highly recommend the game and the seller!

I was disappointed to find that this software does NOT work on macs. We have an iMac. I popped in the CD, and when I click on "Bailey's Book House" to load, it says "You can't open the application Bailey's Book House because the Classic environment is no longer supported." I feel jipped. The product says Windows and Macintosh- I guess not the ones in this decade.

I found this game at a school where I was in grades 1st through 4th, and I really missed it.

Educational toy. It keeps the girls engaged for long periods of time, but they are learning new things all the time.

EDMARK IS HE SAME SYSTEM THAT THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS USEHELPED MY SON A LOT COMPUTER SYSTEM IS QUITE GOOD TOOTEACHERS AT THE SCHOOL SET THE KID IN FRONT OF THE COMPUTER ANDTOOK A BREAK ............ WHY DO WE PAY THEM SO MUCH AGAIN ??HOME SCHOOL YOUR KIDS IT IS NOT SO DIFFICULT.

Our son had this program when he was just a little guy with autism. He loved Bailey's Book House then, and loves it now at age 30. He uses it several times a week.
