As long as you use a jar, with a flat bottom and follow the instructions to a T, they do grow. It does take previous experience, growing them to get it right. As you can see, it really isn't as easy as they make it sound. It takes a lot longer than 24 hours to grow. I'm still growing mine and it has been almost 3 weeks. But, they do look fantastic! I'm going to order another one and once I'm finished growing the Crystal's, I'll post a picture of the fully assembled Terrarium. Don't give up, have patience and know its gonna take much longer to grow than what it says. It does work. I suggest trying a single 4M Crystal Growing kit, not the large one, you need the jar inside to grow them correctly and you can reuse the jar, it's perfect for this kit, not the flimsy crap they give you in this kit to grow them in, it won't work. This is a hobby of mine, I love growing crystals and making crystal terrariums and crystal zen gardens, large and small.

I love it!!!

My 5 year old daughter really enjoyed the gift but it was hard to wait for the crystals to grow. Only one color, yellow, grew correctly and the others took multiple tries to get them to crystallize. Overall it’s a cute gift but a young kid won’t have the patience to wait multiple times to assemble it.

We did at beach vacation so got to add additional items from beach in there. Super cute

Grate craft activity and little light. My 6 yo and 4 yo love it!
