Berghaus Men's Ft18 Gore-tex Waterproof Walking Shoes

Started well, very comfortable and very stable across all terrain.6 months later with not much use there is no grip left. In the wet they are pretty dangerous with no grip whatsoever.

The quality of this shoe is what you would expect from a Berghaus product, full retail price is too expensive though. Initially they felt tight and narrow with poor grip but after a week of constant wearing in, they have settled into a comfortable fit and feel a lot more flexible and stable. They are a very breathable lightweight hiking shoe which offers minimal support with questionable grip in wet conditions so would definitely be more suitable for everyday use rather than a long haul trek.

I loved these shoes but they were half a size too small. I went to exchange for the next size up and they were £15 more expensive!! This made them out of my budget which is a shame.(update)So I decided to buy the black pair in a size 9 (the half size up as previously mentioned.) They arrived in a box stating black and size 9. When I opened the box the pair were grey, size 8.5!! Probably the same shoe as I previously bought just put in a different box!!

To slim fitting & just nothing to really like about them for me; but well made as you would expect of Berghaus but for me going away from what they excel at in order to reach a possible younger market imho. Will suit people so don't be put off by my personal appraisal; each to their own. I ended up with Fellmasters.

Very happy with these, they fit well, but maybe not suitable for people with wide feet, as the shoes are somewhat on the narrow side. They repel water really well and the Vibram soles are grippy on rough terrain and in wet conditions. Very light, too.

They have good support in the sole and they're light in weight. Attractive looking shoe and much better than trainers. They're supposed to be wide fitting but they don't feel like it. I've had to break them in a quite a bit. I'm a cameraman so I've bought them for trekking across the Pyrenees in the summer and filming across Africa.

The shoes are comfortable, though it should be said that the cut is slightly slimmer than normal. They keep the feet warm and dry in November weather. Because they are black I can wear them also at the office when I don't expect to meet anybody external.

The shoes were a great fit straight out of the box , no rubbing or pinching etc and also they feel very light on your feet . Very good quality as well .
