I'm Ordering More
For the past 5 years, I've experienced severe nosebleeds that have landed me in the emergency room where doctors have had to either cauterize or plug my nose. Because the nosebleeds happen so suddenly and are so heavy, I wanted to have something on hand to stem the bloody tide enough to either delay or prevent hospitalization. I purchased the Quick Seal Nosebleed Plugs about a year ago. Fortunately, I had no need for them until very recently. WARNING - GRAPHIC DESCRIPTIONS FOLLOW.I awakened to a nosebleed, and - as usual with me - the blood was coming fast, and it was everywhere. I had a couple of the plugs near my bedside, so I placed one into my nostril. Within seconds it was soaked - so much for that. Then I thought - why not try two? So, I placed two of them into my nose, and pushed them further back into my nostril than I had with the first one. I also pinched my nose and held it for 30 - 40 minutes. I removed the plugs, and blew my nose very gently - no more bleeding! Now, I'm sure that some of you who are still reading are thinking that the pinching of the nostrils is what stopped the bleeding; and there's a chance that you're correct. However, given my history, I don't think so. I've tried pinching the nostrils before for long periods of time, and still ended up in the E/R. Also, given the huge clot at the end of the plug when I removed it, there's no doubt in my mind that without the plugs, the bleeding would have continued. So, perhaps the plugs plus the pinching was the winning combination. It was such a relief to not have to go to the hospital, where they were most likely going to put a plug in my nose anyway. For me, these plugs work; and that's why I'm ordering more.

The only thing that worked for us
These are a life saver if you have industrial strength nosebleeds! I used these several times a week for my daughter until she outgrew her gushing nosebleeds. This was the only thing that worked to prevent my bathroom looking like a murder scene. With kids, it works like this:1. Cut in half lengthwise2. Shove into nose (even if slightly uncomfortable. I would tell me daughter that if it didn't hurt, she probably hasn't gotten it up to the part that was bleeding)3. Child stops seeing blood4. Child stops being hysterical5. Bleeding stops because child no longer thrashing and crying6. Do not let child remove until you have not seen blood for 10 minutesAs others have noted, they are not super soft or comfortable. If they were, they wouldn't work as well. This is not facial tissue, or underwear or onesies for a newborn. You are purchasing this for efficacy, not comfort. Once your nose stops bleeding, you can take it out.Even at 5, my daughter, who has a low tolerance for discomfort, would ask for these instead of enduring twenty minutes of hemorrhaging.A few caveats:1. If anybody's nose is bleeding that much or that often, get it checked out by a medical provider. In our case, it was a combination of living in a dry, high altitude climate and my kid's particular nose. But don't assume.2. If you are cutting them in half, immediately seal up the half you are not using for later. Any exposure to even low humidity will cause the remainder to swell, rendering it useless.3. If bleeding continues around the plug, it's not in far enough. It works by applying pressure to the bleeding vessel until it clots. Soaking up the blood is just a side benefit.4. Remove gently so as not to disturb the clot which has formed. For mild nosebleeds that can be managed with pinching and toilet paper, this will probably be too uncomfortable. But if your nosebleeds are more severe, it will be well worth any discomfort.

A+ Solution and work GREAT!!!
Son gets periodic nosebleeds and sometimes they are a challenge to get them to stop. He can really go through tissues/toilet paper/paper towels. Bought a 10 pack of these in Feb 2022. They are freaking amazing. They swell up on the inside and apply pressure to the bleed directly on the inside of the nose. We've never had to use more than one and he just stuffs it up there himself and sits calmly while it does it's thing. I wish I'd had these about 8 years ago when he was little, as I remember nosebleeds being super scary (seeing all that blood OUTSIDE his body). He had a bad bleed this morning while getting ready for school, and that's when I discovered we only have TWO left out of the package.I have no problem with the way they are packaged - 2 in a small zip sealed bag, and 5 of those in the larger bag.My problem is that these aren't available any longer. I need more, and I'd love them in a bulk package.20 pack? Sure!50 pack? YES PLEASE!

Absolutely amazing product. I will probably be a lifelong user
I have been using these for my daughter for the past few months and they have been amazing. She is 7 years old and on blood thinners and gets bloody noses too often. Before I found these we would sit and hold her nose, tried wads of tissue etc. nothing worked and she would have panic attacks and make the bleeds worse. At times it would take over an hour to get it to stop. I would sit and hold her and cry myself because I felt helpless. We even had a few instances where we were debating calling 911. We found these and she now keeps them in her backpack for school, at home by her bed, in our backpacks when we go hiking etc. I have bought the 10 packs as well as the smaller size. She is small so I cut them in half lengthwise and bend them in half almost rolling them up to fit but it works well. If they made them smaller it would be a bonus but these have been great. She no longer panics when she gets a nosebleed, she just asks for one or even puts one in herself. Thank you to whoever created these. If you get nosebleeds this is a must buy in my opinion. Great product!!!!!

Amazing so grateful to have found these
These are amazing! I have suffered from frequent nosebleeds since I was a child (now 40 years old). My nosebleeds are very difficult to stop and on average last 1 hour. My record is a 3 hour nose bleed. I've used about 5 of these so far in about the past 6 weeks and they have stopped the bleed right away!! I've now stocked up my car, purse, first aid kit. I'm ready!
