It doesn’t actually lock!
I’ve read some negative stuff on here about it being flimsy or poorly made, and to be fair it’s plastic and frankly no more flimsy than any other cat flaps I’ve had over the years. But this is going back anyway...To say that this cat flap is lockable is totally misleading and inaccurate. At best this can be described as “obstructable”. The flap comes with a totally separate plastic panel that you slot over the top of the door, essentially blocking up the flap. When you want to open the flap you have to remove it and place it on the side somewhere and replace it again later. There is no locking mechanism whatsoever on this flap.

Works well for an indoor solution
I had a friend help me install this as you do have to take down the door and it needs some DIY know-how plus the right tools. Definitely a two-person job if only for re-hanging the door. Our cat is still small and hasn't reached the critical mass needed to overcome the magnetic lock but I'm hoping that once she reaches her full size that won't be a problem anymore. I would not use this with an outside door as it would really let the cold in. For what we needed it's perfect.

Not impressed
Difficult to install. Draft still comes in. Locks ok but it's noisy and scared my cat she wouldn't use it no matter what .It's that flimsy my 1.5yr old lifted it up once and it's broken. I now have a hole in my door.

Great door
Great pet door great price ,we have to separate two cats and the sliding door stops them seeing eachother and stops them getting out

Poor design, super- tricky install
Unnecessarily flimsy and tricky install with microscopic screws and no margin for any errors. Flap itself seems ok.
