It’s beautiful. Everything you want for a reef.
Despite the FedEx guy slamming one of the boxes on my porch, and breaking a couple of pieces, this stuff is amazing. Lots of holes, great color, and stacking is simple with the provided plugs. I got 90 pounds for my 120 gallon, and I was able to get the exact look I was going for. Currently in my bucket to start cycling after test fitting.

Very nice dry rock to start your own reef!
This dry rock is a great for starting new aquariums. It doesn't have any nuisance algae or micro fauna. I received four large pieces and was able to put them together to come up with a very nice aquascape. Overall, the rock is very good and very easy to work with.Since this is a calcium carbonate base rock, it does breakup easily, so you will have a lot of dust and small pieces. Before putting it in your aquarium you can rinse off the loose particles of calcium carbonate and then it will be ready for use. The loose particles just end up looking like sand in your tank, so it will mix in and you won't notice it.

Good but messy
It's generally good rock. But if you plan to have a neat bare bottom tank and you don't want rock particles and pieces on the floor all the time, then this rock might not be a good option.I thoroughly power washed the rocks. After that I blowed them with turkey baster in a box filled with RODI in order to get rid of remaining small particles and dust.... And the same moment I put them in the tank small pieces or rocks were all over the place....After cleaning the tank bottom over and over and over again.... and then again and agin..... and again....I just realized these rocks never stop falling apart!

Quality and fast shipping still thinking it’s to good to be true but very pleased!!
Ordered it less then a week ago and has already arrived. Rocks were well packaged very little breakage. I did not rinse anything off which sort of wish I had but didn’t want to use regular tap water. I tried using the rods but just didn’t like the layout. Might drill holes later but for now the rocks sit so well together they don’t even move. This is a 55 gallon and might add more later. But will be ordering it from arc reef that’s for sure. Will update more on how the tank progresses and how well the beneficial bacteria and what not take hold on it.

... dry base rock was able to make a really cool aquascape, and am currently
I have been doing a lot of research for getting my first reef tank set up and I had just received my package of ARC Reef dry base rock was able to make a really cool aquascape, and am currently, slowly but surely, filling up the tank with RoDi water. Choosing the right rock is important because it is often the focal point of the ecosystem and this seems great so far!P.s - just make sure to rinse the rock before aquascaping, only to remove any broken pieces and sediment that were due to shipping ;-)

Best rock I have ever worked with
I got this rock for 50 gallon that was going to set up to replace a 34 gallon red sea. I can’t say enough good things about this rock it was easy to figure out how to put it together the only thing I would like to sing were more of the rods and none of the frag plugs. I have a 120 gallon that I was getting ready to set up with different route that I’ve been curing but after working with us I’m gonna be selling that rock and getting more of this rock can’t say enough about how easy it is to work with.It took me a day not a matter of hours to get this worked out and glued but that still far less time then working with the rock I’ve been used to would’ve taken and I didn’t have to use a hammer to break things up.For my 120 I’m going to be order some custom pieces for the shelves that I want and how long it takes it’s worth the wait.

Amazing Value
This stuff is the real deal.Long, flat and varying in size, I was able to cement together a triple arch reef using only ‘Seachem Reef Glue’. Mess around with your blocks in front of your tank, when you got something you like simply apply the super glue to the connecting joints and bam— you have a reef. Enjoy

Very nice. Lots of nooks and crannies
Very nice. Lots of nooks and crannies. Interesting looking shapes. Can’t wait to start the build.Update. One year in. Looking good. The rock has really become “live”.
