This dehumidifier is effective at pulling moisture out of the air quietly and efficiently. It can either drain into the included bucket or directly into a drain. The unit is compact, and the unit can fit inside of the bucket which is very convenient. The controls are intuitive and the ability to set the humidity level is easy. As of 2026, this humidifier is top rated among sites like Wirecutter (NY Times).

It works well. The water removal is pretty great, and it is a little loud. 1 Star review is because when you remove the bucket it drips onto the floor, and when you place it back on the bucket you have to constantly keep removing it and putting it back until it realizes it's back on the bucket. Update: The plastic threads for the constant drain port seem to be extremely easy to strip away, even from one install of a hose. The threads being shredded caused a leak. The leak leaked into the bucket, the bucket filled up to the point of spilling, and the basement had tons of water on the floor. The unit being in continuous drain mode turns off the bucket fill level monitor, and there was no way for the dehumidifier to know the bucket was not just full, but overflowing. Meanwhile the dehumidifier was constantly reporting 30% relative humidity, so this happened for weeks before anyone noticed. Also both of the dust filters seem to be stuck in the sides, and I cannot remove them to clean them.

Works great for my 1 bedroom apt with open living room and kitchen. Durability unknown. Just used it for two days so far. My ground floor apt was at 76% humidity or something before. I got a small unit from a different brand and it did nothing. Maybe a pint of water in two days. I got this. Which while pricey for me, pulls 1.5-2 gallons of water out of the air each day. I do have it at the lowest setting 35% so I am a little worried about durability and electric, but if I turn it up, I start to feel it and my skin gets irritated. So far so good. The wheels are helpful. It is relatively heavy. Maybe 40 pounds? I can move it, but I wouldn’t say I can lift it easily. But it’s doable and I’m okay with it. It is loud but it’s a constant white noise type of thing so if you don’t mind your fridge, this probably is fine too.

I live in Florida and our humidity stays between 65-75% during the day and 80-100% at night. I originally bought this because we ended up having water come into our house twice with the last two tropical systems (Ian & Nicole) and my parents had 1.5' of water in their house. So I bought three of these to help dry out my own house and then used these to dry out theirs. These little guys are amazing! My house was dry within a day, and my parents were completely dried within a six days of use (and after removal of drywall, carpet, etc). I'm now using two to help suppliemnt my A/C. I keep one in the garage and the other upstairs. My garage stays at about 45% humidity running the unit off and on throughout the day and night. The inside of the house stays a consistent 40% when running the upstairs unit off and on through the day and night. They aren't quiet, even the low setting is a little loud for my taste when standing next to the unit. It's about the sound level of a box fan. So as long as it's not in the same room, you can hardly hear it. The app is fantastic and I love the integration with Google. In fact, I had one set up in my living room for a while and set up a routine in Google Home to shut it off when the TV turned on. The device is very smart. You can say how much water you want to collect before it shuts itself off and waits for you to empty it. Or, you can use continuous draining if you have drain nearby. Two of my units came with an additional pump to pump the water out that the bucket collects. However, I just simply empty the buckets - not too hard to do. They are moveable but a little on the heavy side even without water. But I love the bucket design and the handles are very strong and secure. They have a timer feature, but I haven't used it. I have used the auto on feature when the humidity reaches a certain level in the room. This works fantasticly well. I love knowing that the unit will dehumidify if my house gets high humidity but also won't overflow if it gets full. Overall I'd say these are fantastic devices. They're smart, a great form factor, easy to clean the filter, have lots of customizations available, and very easy to empty.

I like the portability and compactness of it. I have it in my crawl space and being able to control it by Wi-Fi on the phone app only adds to the convenience. My only issue so far was my electricity flashed on and off a couple times last night from the winter storm but stayed on. Somehow it lost connection with the Wi-Fi so I had to go back in the crawl space and re-add the dehumidifier and connect it to the Wi-Fi. I have had it for almost two weeks now and it seem to be doing a good job. I think the area I have it in is about 1900 SF so I am using a second dehumidifier of a different brand. Together they are keeping the humidity about where I would like it. I would recommend this unit and if it were in the house I am sure it would be doing a fantastic job by itself. ****UPDATE**** The Midea stopped working on the app again while I was away from home and I could not restart it from the app. The other brand kept connected and working. Just as mysteriously as it quit working in the app it started working by itself later in the day. I don't know if it is an app issue or an issue with the dehumidifier but I am feeling less confident about this than I was at first. I need a Dehumidifier that i can depend on. *****2nd update**** Continue to have issues with the app saying dehumidifier is not connected. About 90% of the time it is connected. I do think it's an issue with the Smart Home app that Meida migrated to from their own app.

I bought two of these to try to knock down the ~67% winter humidity in my Florida house, which sits next to the water. This can occur for a month or so where the temps drop but outdoor humidity remains in the 80%+ range. I can't run the A/C because it's already mid 60's indoors, so I thought let's try dehumidifiers. I set one up on each side of the house and set the HVAC to just run recirculate for ten minutes of each hour. Within six hours both units had pulled over a gallon of water each out of the air and dropped the house humidity almost 10%. By morning the house was down to 50% humidity, towels in the bathrooms were already dry where normally a shower would leave them damp until the next afternoon, it felt so much better. I've found a spot for one where it can continuous drain into a utility sink, but the other has such a massive bucket that it won't require emptying probably more than once a week now that the initial knock-down has been completed. Keep in mind that bucket size. If you do let it fill completely, you're talking about 40+ pounds of water. Fortunately the console and the phone app both allow you to configure it to do a high water shut off far earlier than the physical bucket becoming full, if you want to stop it at 25%, 50%, 75% for weight reasons. It defaults to the lowest setting, so if you plug the thing in without further configuration, it's going to auto shut off at maybe ten pounds of water, far earlier than it would have to if you do want it to fill the bucket. They are loud, have no doubt about that. These are large dehumidifiers designed to tackle thousands of square feet, so they have a large compressor and evaporator grid, and a large fan to pull a lot of air through. Even in low mode they put out a good bit of noise. It's not an annoying noise though; I slept fine with one of them fifteen feet from me in the same room, but those sensitive to any amount of elevated volume may not like it even if it does sound like white noise. The base comes with casters in case you want to wheel them around a hard floor; may make it easy to wheel one over to a step-in shower for emptying if you don't want to lug 40 pounds of water by the handle.

After reading a stellar review on WireCutter, I purchased the Midea 20 point cube 3 days ago and it may be the worst significant purchase I have ever made. It's very clear the humidity sensor is about 35+ points off accurate. So, when turned on with the humidity at 70% in the room, it thinks it is about 35% and runs a few minutes and then shuts off even if you set the level to 35% as it thinks it is DONE. Meanwhile the humidity in the house is still 65-70%. I checked the humidity against three different hydrometers to make sure they all agree with how off the humidity sensor was on the dehumidifier as it was shocking. They all agreed that the dehumidifier was WAY OFF and all were aligned within a single digits. The only way to get it to work is to put it on Continual or Maximum as on automatic it runs for 5 minutes and thinks it is done. So basically it's useless unless you run it continually which renders the App useless. I noticed others on Amazon reviews (which i wish I had scanned more carefully before purchasing) had similar issues with the humidity sensor being broken from the get go. Others issues not brought up in the Wirecutter review were that when you take the humidifier off of the bucket it drips water. Lots of water. So when you want to empty the bucket you basically need to set up thick towels to put the unit on and they will get soaked. Who wants to do that? A huge miss in the review. They did focus on the weight which is another issue, but the water drip mess is even worse. Astoundingly, the unit also warms the room up. Yes, the dehumidifier that while running on the only way to work Continual or Max mode (due to the humidity sensor for Auto broken upon arrival) puts off enough heat to Raise the room temperature by many degrees and it basically acts like a heater instead of a cooler. . I couldn't believe it was signifigantly warming a cool basement, but saw other reviewers noticed the same thing! Others have said it's impossible to empty the bucket without water spilling everywhere due to the cumbersome cube design. I absolutely need to return this thing immediately. Their Midea online support was of no help whatsoever and absolutely insulting to the consumer. Nothing we can do, Go see Amazon was basically their answer.

This product is easy to install, looks great, & runs efficiently, & very quietly. My humidity dropped quickly from 80% to 55% within a few hours. It is compact in size but it does weigh 42 pounds, so if you can't lift that amount, you'll need help, but it is worth it. It is easiest to use with a drain hose, but you can use the tank to collect the water. The only concern is that the heavy part sits on the water storage tank, so you'd have to lift it off to empty the tank. But I did see that there is a small hose included that could maybe be used to drain into a bucket if you don't have a floor drain. This model does not have a pump, but the company does make a model with a pump to expel water up if you need that. I am very happy with this dehumidifier. I breathe better in my house thanks to Midea.

This dehumidifier removes a ton of water from my lower level and is easy to set up and operate. I do find it heavy and I cannot lift a full bucket of water to empty it. Luckily its on casters which allows me to wheel it into the bathroom and dump It in the shower without lifting. Smaller size would be recommended for persons who aren’t physically strong. I did not remove a star for this as smaller options were available and it operates very well so far.

Achat fait en juillet 2024 surpris, elle est efficace et quand meme silencieuse par rapport a mon danby qui a duré 20 ans. J'espères quelle durera aussi longtemps mais aujpourd'hui le 1 juin 2025 le deshumidificateur ne fait pas sont travail elle ne deshumidifie, il me reste un mois de guarantie j'ai contacté le soutien a la clientele de Midea ils sont supposé de m'envoyé un cheque pour rembourser mon appareils je vous aviserais si ils vont bien me remboursé histoire a suivre
