Q: What's the diameter ?

My stovetop has four burners. This bowl fits in the bigger pair. The outer diameter of this replacement bowl is 9.75 inches. That is the OUTER diameter of the bowl. This bowl is dropped into a hole or cavity on the cooktop that has a diameter of 8.5 inches. That is the diameter of the CAVITY. I am not sure why it is referred to as an 8-inch bowl. No relevant measurement is exactly 8 inches. They fit my GE stove perfectly. I could make similar comments about the smaller version of this product that perfectly fit into the other two, smaller burner cavities. That smaller bowl is described as 6 inches. However, that smaller bowl fits into a cavity that is 6.375 inches (that's 6 and three-eighths).

No. This did not fit my stove. I went on the GE site and with the model and serial number found the correct one.
