Dorfman - Rush Gambler Hat for Men, Straw Sun Hat, Wide Brim UV Protection

Very good looking hat. Fit was just a tad large (1/4”? Yes splitting hairs), but some fitting strips got it snug. Wore on the golf course today in 5-10 mph winds with bright sunshine. The hat gave me the shade I needed and I could feel the breeze blowing through and cooling my head. It was packed in a box that was a bit too small so one side of the hat is slightly bent up more than the other, but only I’ll notice that. When this one is weathered and falling apart, I’ll repeat the order for another. For 20-something dollars it’s a great value.

My husband is delighted to have found replacements for 'his hat' that he's worn out. Finding it at the size that fits him had become a challenge locally, and he found the fit to be exactly what he wanted. Delivered on time and undamaged in shipping. 2017- an addenda We strayed from Dorfman, big mistake. My husband bought a Gamboa Wide (4”) brim Gambler (flat top) Panama hat. It is junk. It arrived in a plastic bag stuffed into our mailbox, no box. No stuffing to hold the shape of the head, nothing to keep / protect the brim and keep it flat. No comment on the bag suggesting that the contents need not be folded into a canolie shape. After unpacking, it sort of reverted back to its intended shape but is so thin that even a gentle breeze blows the brim up completely, making it worthless outdoors, the only place most men wear a hat. He looks silly with it looking like a halo around his head. It’s barely heavy enough to protect what’s left of his thinning hair. We have some local donkeys, just down the road, who wouldn’t be seen dead in it. The guy in the Gamboa picture must have a tiny head to make the 4” brim look that large. Hubby will go back to the much stronger Dorfman Pacific Straw Lightweight Casual Wide (3”) Brim Gambler Hat which he has used for years at one forth the price of the crappy Gamboa hat. (These are his third and fourth, and the quality has held up.) The Dorfmans we bought through Amazon are a major find and value for the money (and they came in boxes!!! Who knew?

Ordered the hat in April, they found someone to weave the hat and received it the end of May. Looks good and it fits with the inclusion of the foam tape, so I guess it was worth the wait.

Looked like a nice hat. Mine arrived in a Brown Envelope, flat as a Pancake. Tried to form back into shape with no luck. After 2 days, I threw it in the trash. I’m out $28. Chalked it up to Lesson learned.

The hat seems to be nicely made. I wear a 7-5/8 cap and the XL is a little too large, but better that than too small.

fits n looks great, got a good one i suppose, shipping to awhile tho i think they needed to bring sum more in it came from the west coast, im on the east. n they didnt ship it right away either. but other than that perfect hat, well be wearing it on sunny days.

A friend of mine ordered this in "large" after following the instructions to measure for size. Too big for him and me so I did the measurement according to the instructions and ordered a medium for myself. Also way to big. Am currently waiting the arrival of a "small". Love the style and colour but the sizing is a concern. (This is an add-on written 2 weeks later.) The small arrived and had been molded incorrectly. I contacted Amazon immediately and a new hat, size small was sent immediately. Perfect fit and the refunds for the 2 previous items were processed immediately. Thanks for the great service!
