Professional Quality for Consumer Price
I'm a professional videographer. I also do small scale music production for video scores. I spend a lot of my time editing, and I needed a good pair of studio monitoring headphones that would give me accurate playback... no boosted bass or anything like that. I also needed something that would be very comfortable, since I may be wearing them for 8+ hours at a time. I took a chance on these because I've been happy with my other Tascam products, and they absolutely did not disappoint. Extremely comfortable. I barely even notice I'm wearing them. Very accurate audio. Just great all the way around. I do wish the cord was detachable, but for the price, I can't complain.

Monitoring, not listening pleasure - perfecto.
I work in video production and needed over the ear monitoring of boom/lavalier microphones and these are the best bang for the buck! First pair was $20 elsewhere, but even at $45, this is perfect. Each camera has a set. They are accurate and comfortable. They are made well enough to withstand on-location travel shoots! If this is your purpose, these are you headphones. they do not disappoint! However, if you're a serious audiophile and sipping fine scotch while listening to Stanley Clarke, invest in a nice pair of Sennheiser headphones. These are for monitoring and they do their job well.
