Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Food for Dogs, 15 oz (Variety Pack of 5)

I have been feeding my 17 pound Westie a freeze dried raw diet for over a year. She is 2.5 years old. We started her on a high quality kibble but she just had one small issue after another. Besides that, on the kibble she had smelly gas and so even though it's more expensive I switched to the raw freeze dried.We fed our last dog the raw frozen food but my husband hated having it thawing in the fridge all the time. Back I did not know there even was freeze dried raw but when I found it for our Westie Millie, I did not look back.We started on the Primal brand food because that was the frozen variety we had used for our last dog. I always had trouble with the Primal freeze dried blocks breaking so I tried Stella & Chewy's. The patties seem to hold together better and it's also slightly cheaper.These patties are super easy to feed. I break them up into her bowl so that they are sort of like a powder. They break up rather easily when dry. Do not make the mistake of adding water first and then mixing because that just does not work well. After I break up the pieces. I add about 3 tablespoons of hot tap water for the 2 patties. Then I mix it with a fork. It takes a few minutes for the water to absorb. My goal is the consistency of ground hamburger.This 5 package set of the food is packaged well and arrived with barely any broken pieces. It contains 1 each of Chicken, Duck Duck Goose, Lamb, Beef, and Surf and Turf. Each Package lasts about a week. My 17 lb Westie eats two meals a day with 2 patties each. I weighed the patties and they are approx 13 grams each so if I have some broken pieces I just use the scale.Each bag is 15.5 oz or 425 grams. I did not count the patties in a bag, but since I know that they are about 13 grams each, that would be approx 32 patties per bag. For my dog at 4 patties a day that lasts 8 days. This set of five bags will last me 40 days. I alternate proteins because it is the healthier way to feed my dog.Each variety varies in calories per patty. Chicken 60, Beef 75, Duck, Duck, Goose 70, Surf and Turf 75, and Lamb 80. The instructions on the bag suggest different amounts based on the calories but I just feed 2 patties twice a day to my dog and rotate the varieties. She also gets meat and veggie treats to supplement.We are super happy with this food for our dog. Millie absolutely loves it and never refuses a meal. The stinky gas is a think of the past, plus she had some minor skin allergies that have disappeared as well. The other thing that Millie used to do before switching to freeze dried raw, is throwing up bile in the middle of the night. She used to do it at least once a week on kibble. This is the best price only by a few cents(29¢ per pkg) and I don’t have to go out to get it. It’s super convenient to have it on hand. Now my kitty wants it too so I have to share it with her too. It gets expensive and I prefer preparing their food at home in my own kitchen. Super convenient to have this on hand when things get too hectic at home. I trust this brand these many years. Nothing I have tried is even close.The only thing I wish is that I could choose one flavor or choose my 5. In the end though my pets enjoy all the flavors they get.

I really like the variety that this pack offers. My dog does like some better than others, but I think the variety is good. And my dog definitely enjoys each kind.

I feed this to my 10 year old Yorkie. She is ready for each and every meal. She staying very close to her ideal weight and is healthy and spry.

Great food and the only one my dog will eat. Deduct one patty per day from what is on the feeding chart on the bag as it is very rich. Also, add 2 tbs warm water per patty after breaking into bite sized pieces to rehydrate a bit.

Our dog will not eat without these! She loves them so much! We once ran out and tried to give her the dry food without this on top and she looked at us like we were crazy! Very healthy option to give your dog! Have been feeding our pup these for over two years!

I used to feed It exclusively when I had one dog, but adding a second dog put this food out of my reach financially.It is a great product.
