Bad ass watch. Bling Bling at a great price
I don't know what some of the other people that bought this watch and then reviewed it badly were thinking. I just got the watch yesterday and its gorgeous. Of course it doesn't look as good as the picture, nothing you buy on the internet does. I'm telling you this watch is great. I've only wore it once and got like 10 comments on it. Not only is it a looker its a great value. The diamonds are real. Everything about this watch is high end. I mean look at the normal price of this watch. It was [...] and now its [...]. Can't beat that. Yes its heavy and yes its huge. If you don't have a big wrist, you may have to remove a link or two. I have a normal size wrist and it is loose on me but comfortable. That's the way I like my watches. Also has a stop watch built in. Overall if you want a bad ass, high end watch for a forth of the price. Buy this bad boy.

Nicest watch I ever purchased
This is one of the nicest watches I have ever purchase. I dont know what other heads are saying about this watch saying that its bad. Honestly there trip'n. This watch is somewhat heavy and big but you will get use to it when you wear it. When you open the case, the watch is sparkling like crazy especially if you put it towards the light like at the mall. Like the other guy said in this review, I wore this watch like five times and I got so much complements on this watch. Some of my friends taught that I spend a lot of money but the price is perfect for this watch. If your thinking about purchasing this watch, you will not regret buying this watch. This watch is awesome!!!

you get what you pay for...
I just received this watch today 9/4/13 from Amazon. I will say that it's not as shiny as it looks in the picture. This watch is like a book, don't judge it by its cover. However for the price it was listed for and what I actually paid, was well worth it. The watch really isn't that heavy and it looks nice, its not gaudy. The only problem I have had with it so far is the warranty as far as setting it up. I bought the canopy which I had no problem setting up but getting the information for the 2yr warranty that comes with watch I can't find the info for because it was shipped in a bigger box and didn't have a receipt with it for the info it needs to process the warranty. Another problem I had noticed after I got it was I looked on Amazon and it states in one description that its water resistant to 165 feet but in the other description below the watch that lists everything else states that its water resistant to 330ft. The watch on the back of it says its water resistant to 165ft (its described on the back as 3,5,10 or 20 ATM, the ATM is how much water it can withstand. Also, under the "general care for a water resistant watch" it sates in the #2 care instruction as "do not wear the water in a hot shower or sauna. Extreme heat can damage the watch." WTH! hahaha also if your watch needs to be serviced it says that you need to send it to the replacement place with the receipt and a check for 15$ to cover shipping and handling. I guess my overall review of everything leaves this watch at a 2 star. As far as looks its a 3. The grandiose quartz diamonds are not really that shiny the silver shines more then them. The GQD are more dull in appearance and you can see the flaws in them when you tilt the watch. The mother of pearl appears to only be on 2 of the dials and those dials are for the stopwatch not the 24hr marker. Again, it is what it is and I like the watch even with those flaws. I mean really your buying a watch listed for 550.00 dollars and getting for less then a hundred. Although when I first ordered it I could of sworn they had it listed as 599.99 for the original price. There is a tag that's attached to the watch that has $725 listed on it. One last thing about this watch was it was totally wrapped in a plastic lining which i had to removed and i found annoying because it wasn't easy :/

Huge watch
The box is amazing.. I would not even think i would be buried in such beauty..The watch is HUGE.. I am 6'2 220lbs and I had to have 2 links removed for it to fit right. The instructions that came with the watch were very bland. They package the general instructions for all Chronograph watches that Akribos sells, so dials they speak of in the manual do not match the watch face. In the end I figured everything out after messing with it for a while and I like the watch a lot. Just like the other review said, the diamonds are not that noticeable at all. I took a picture of the watch with my macro lens turned on so i could actually look at the face up close and see the diamonds just to make sure they are not just shiny pieces of stainless steel made to look like diamonds.. had some compliments already on the watch.. I wear this watch to work in a suit all day 40 hours a week. it just replaced my old fossil and I am happy with it.also this watch has krysterna crystal .. which is synthetic but actually stronger than sapphire if you do some research about it ... also those 3 discs in the middle are mother of pearl

Very Large and dull
I bought this watch for my boyfriend for Christmas, he picked it out. When I received it the face of the watch was huge and when he put it on it seemed to swallow up his hand. He's an average size guy 6' 185 lbs. Also, the watch is nowhere near as sparkly and dramatic as the picture makes it seem. The diamonds are barely noticeable and overall appearance was a bit disappointing.

All I expected and MORE!
After reading the reviews, I thought it was going to be dramatically different from the picture and the truth is, IT'S NOT! The band is EXTREMELY shiny and case is BRILLIANTLY decorated! This watch is Flashy, yet, classy and is WELL WORTH $100.00! If you buy this watch, you wont be disappointed unless you are rich or very well off. Even if you were rich and wore this watch, you would get several compliments! I'm VERY GLAD I chose this watch and I will probably buy 2 or more Akribos watches. I am a college student (25 years old) so I still love to floss! REAL DIAMONDS! (you can barely see them though). The last thing I will compliment is the CASE it came in! The case is what ended up making me feel like I had REALLY bought a QUALITY time piece and the warranty is right inside. Although it may not have cost much, this watch is very valuable to me and that is all.
