Definitive? Yes!
This book has all the info you could want if you are new to the aurora borealis. Actually I learned a lot and I already have lots of experience with travelling to see aurorae in Norway. It's compact and easy to travel with but there is so much interesting information in there. Highly recommended!

Bought this for a friend who is off to see the Northern Lights in Iceland on Boxing Day - I'm sure he'll find t incredibly useful as lots of illustrations and explanations in it yet not too large a book to pop in a weekend case x

Good book for science focused young adult
I bought this book for my nephew who is obsessed with science. This book did focus more on the science behind the northern lights and not necessarily a story. It had just the right amount of pictures. It wasn’t just a photo book of the northern lights.
