Junk
Returning as I am extremely disappointed.I love leatherman. Have used the wave and carry a surge daily. I honestly thought I received a knockoff when I saw these two baby rivets. These two are basically the only thing holding the entire tool together and then the ends of the plier heads just sit on the inside of the handles not attached to anything.I was so excited when I read the reviews of how heavy duty it was, only to experience a loose and flimsy tool.I can squeeze the front and back handle grips and flex them. After opening the tool a dozen times, while contemplating returning, the pliers actually started to stick closed just enough you'd have to wiggle them to open.Lock sticks. Plate underneath lock is loose and sticking out.The other tools look okay other than the size. You can tell there is not enough meat on the pliers to last a long time. Use it enough and I bet they'll snap like the other reviews.I wouldn't recommend this for a friend unless they had soft hands and planned on going crazy and tightening the screws on an electrical outlet cover.Edit - there is a lot more I can add. However, I would just like to point out that the way its designed, it looks like if you drop it it will break. No multitool should ever have this issue.

Love this one!
This replaces my Leatherman Wave, after 7 years of service, two of which were in Afghanistan. My work environment eats almost everything (caustic, ammonia, sulfuric, nitric, hydrochloric, salts). This metal and coating so far (almost 3 months) hasn't shown any wear or pitting or rust. The one hand operation is great. I color coded the tabs for each with nail polish for even faster selection. The plier should have a bit more resistance to opening, most always when I take tool from holster, the tip of the plier is sticking out a bit. I know there's a lock, but that surely wasn't designed for a man's hands. Anyway, the one hand operation is critical for my work, as I may be hanging over a hot reactor tank and have just one hand free.Love the tool selection as well. Eliminated a lot of the tools I don't use, made it easier to get to the tools I do need. The flip around screwdriver in the Wave was cute, but was a disaster waiting to happen. In this tool, the big and small flatheads and the Phillips are plenty; if I need more, then a real tool from the toolbox is called for. But when I need one quick, these three are easy to get to, and I appreciate the thought that was put into the tool selection and placement.Very durable as well. Dropped it, with pliers tool engaged, open, from top of a 6m tall tank onto concrete, no damage. I suspected, from others' reviews, that the riveted hinge might not last or survive impact, but so far so good. The Molle pouch is super convenient too. Most other brands are sticking with snaps, but in my line of work, snaps are not durable. The pouch's size is perfect and made to fit. Was a drawback to my old Wave, whose pouch seemed hastily selected and was not the right size. But this one, it's great, can fit the tool either direction.Am ordering ten more to issue to my team.Hopefully this one gets as much use and as long a life as my Wave, and Rebar before it!

BEST EDC TOOL
This tool is definitely THE OHT! The sheath is my only complaint, cannot be 'mounted' to my pant's belt sideways, only vertically. But this didn't warrant removing any stars. The blades are sharp and moving parts are very smooth. The markings on the outside of this tool make it a snap to deploy. No more do you have to get your fingernails under the tools to open them, this one is finger friendly.

Opened the box and 1 question came to mind? Did I get a counterfeit?
I ordered this a short time ago as a holiday gift for my son, I opened it today, just to be sure that it was right before wrapping. I'm glad I did.I've owned leatherman products before, so I expected top quality. First thing of note the insert was clearly for a different leatherman. The illustration were all wrong for this model. Second immediate response was the tool was flimsy, opening and closing wasn't smooth, the saw caught on the side and didn't rest properly, the slide release for the pliers/wire cutters was stiff, not smooth, and felt very cheap. So, i'm forced to wonder, did quality control really diminish for the leatherman product line or did I get sold a counterfeit.I would not recommend this.

I like the sidekick much better
This multi tool was a disappointment after carrying a sidekick at work for a few years. I don't like how it doesn't fold or have a file. I find the sidekick has easier one handed operation. This model doesn't have a belt clip, its bulky, and I find it difficult to get the pliers to deploy or go back. On top of those it cost a bit more.

Worth every penny
I have long been a single blade knife and a full toolbox man. I gave this an honest try and it is amazing. All tools are accessable from the outside but take practice to open single handed. I have tried many projects using only this tool and it has worked. I have done electrical, drywall, and general maintenance using only this tool.

Great tool.
Expensive. But the attachments are great. This is the multi-tool I carry in the field and I have not been let down yet. Worth the cost! Won’t break or bend (within reason) like the cheaper variants. These things are easily lost, so a dummy cord might be of use.

Good product
Been using it for a couple weeks. Had to replace my lost victorinox multi tool. Very handy, good quality. Has less tools than the vic but I didn't use all the tools on that anyway. I only miss the metal file, I'm an electrician and I would use that on occasion when I was too lazy to grab my files in my toolbox:). Other than that the saw is great for Sheetrock, the pliers work great but I find myself using the locking feature to avoid partial deployment. Solidly built, looks cool and a good price.
