In side-by-side comparison with Varidesk, the FlexiSpot is the clear winner!
Just finished the first week with this, and I love it. Notably, today an office mate received his Varidesk of the same size. Not only is the Varidesk $100 more, it is not nearly as nice as the FlexiSpot, for several reasons. First, the Varidesk lifts with spring action, which is much harder to raise and lower than the Flexispot pneumatic assist. Several of the shorter/average height women in the office had a lot of problems raising the Varidesk, and some could not lower it. The FlexiSpot on the other hand was easy for all to raise/lower. Second, the base of the Varidesk is deeper, and hangs over the desks in our cubes, while the FlexiSpot fits perfectly. Third, the Varidesk moves forward when it raises, so the unit becomes top heavy, particularly with the overhang of the base. The FlexiSpot raises and lowers straight up and down so stays more stable. Fourth, the Varidesk has more cutout area, meaning that the FlexiSpot has more real estate for monitor, laptops, paperwork, etc. Finally, I should mention that the problem with the keyboard tray noted in many reviews has been corrected - they have recessed bolts into the tray, so attaching the brackets is no problem, and stays very sturdy. Also note, I am 6'7", and this unit at its tallest is a perfect fit.Overall, the FlexiSpot, after side by side comparison with the Varidesk, is clearly the winner. More stable, easier to raise and lower, more real estate, and $100 cheaper!

This desktop gives plenty of surface room and the height up or down is easy to adjust
I'm just now submitting this review, but I had been wanting a desk riser for quite a while but hesitated buying one because of the price, that is until I found this unit. This desktop gives plenty of surface room and the height up or down is easy to adjust. I am a female (age 59) and was able to put this together myself with no assistance or problems. I am able to raise or lower this unit smoothly in as little as two seconds and am super excited to finally have what I've been looking for. Instructions were clear with no problems encountered with assembly or usage. For the dual monitors, I chose the heavy duty VIVO dual LCD monitor desk mount stand which was also easily installed and works flawlessly with this unit. This is a short voluntary review and I highly recommend it. You will NOT be disappointed!

Nice design, some initial problems with keyboard tray
I have had this desk for over a week now. It set up quickly, but I did encounter one snafu where a piece did not fit into the track of the platform. I was able to fix it with the help of another person. I have been disappointed with the keyboard tray. Although there are spaces for nine screws to attach the tray, I only received four screws. Simply putting pressure on the keyboard tray due to normal typing and using the mouse has already caused the keyboard tray to detach at the back. I cannot use the existing screw holes anymore because the back of the board is made of particle board and has already stripped out. I have attached pictures showing where dust has accumulated on my desk below these spaces, and where the screws fall out. I am not sure how I plan to fix this yet, but will probably have to epoxy them in. Until then, I have a wobbly keyboard tray that I have to make sure not to rest my wrists on as I type or use the mouse.9/7/16 Edit: Since I left my initial review, I was contacted by a company customer service representative who had a new keyboard tray shipped free of charge with the necessary screws (my original review misstated the number of spaces for screws; there are 8 pre-drilled holes). I used wood glue in each hole before using a screwdriver to install the screws. It has been about a week and the tray is holding up well now. The desk moves up and down easily. Another key to making sure this desk will work for you is to have a chair that raises to the correct height. I also have an anti-fatigue mat to use while standing.

Gets Me Standing Again!
It arrived on Friday, not due until Monday. Stunned by the weight of it. I lugged it upstairs and installed it by myself (I'm 75). The weight is not a bad thing. This is a quality piece of equipment. Assembly simply involved inserting the keyboard tray into the slots provided. Piece of cake. No screws to install. No tools required. I was worried that it wouldn't fit on my limited desk with overhanging cabinets. My measurements indicated it would, just. It does, just. I am 6'7", and fully raised the monitor and keyboard are at a perfect height. Lowered, it is almost perfect. The monitor is a bit high, but I am adjusting to it just fine. So far so good. I am writing this while standing. It works!I should reiterate that the the latest version of this product no longer requires any screwing in of the keyboard tray hardware. It comes all in. To insert the keyboard tray, you merely pull down two locking mechanisms, slide the tray in, and pull the locking mechanisms back up to lock the tray in. Removing the tray simply requires pushing down the locking mechanisms and pulling the tray out. Easy as pie. This new version also does not have the slot on the front of the main level that used to be there for inserting a phone or tablet. It is not pictured on the latest product description, but you will see it on reviews, videos, and photos of older versions. I didn't expect to get it and certainly don't miss having it.

IT'S SAVING MY BACK!
I'm a tax accountant and this time of year we are at our desk 12 - 16 hours a day. I LOVE MY FLEXI-SPOT!! It's REALLY cut down on my back pain, being able to stand up for part of the day. (I do stand on a gel matt)I also love how it's $200 less than Vari-desk. You just open the box, have someone help you get it on your desk (its got some weight to it) and you are ready to go! I only had to attach the keyboard platform, but that's easy. I have two monitors and my 10-key on this and it's fine. Lot's of room to work. I HIGHLY recommend the Flexi-Spot. This thing is saving my back and cutting down on chiropractic visits!

Better than the Veridesk, larger working space, but takes up less space.
This product is outstanding! Better than we expected. I have been searching/researching for sometime for a standup desk. This desk is sturdy, extremely well built. It has a large working area, large keyboard tray, and super easy to adjust height (one lever). One of the most important things to know when buying a standup desk is working space. I use dual monitors, and need space for papers, adding machine, keyboard and mouse. This desk meets all these needs! It takes less space than all other standup desks I looked at. Meaning when you raise the desk, it goes straight up. NOT out towards you like most other desks do. Standup desks that lift and come out usually sit about 1 1/2' to 2[' away from your desk, which can take up alot of office space. Not the Flexispot! It goes straight up so you dont lose any office space. Also in its lowest position when you want to sit, it is the perfect height. It goes right down to your desk level. It drops lower/closer to your desk than other models. I am 5' 2", and my hubby is 5' 11" and this desk works perfect for both of us. It could go up higher than my husband would need, so we are sure it would work for a very tall person too.Best of all, it is so much cheaper than the Veridesk. Buy this product, you wont regret it.

Probably one of the best additions to my office
Probably one of the best additions to my office. I've been working for 15+ years and just recently starting to feel discomfort in my back. The desk allows one to go from sitting to standing and vice versa with ease. I find myself standing to work more than sitting and not only is it better on for back but I'm also more energetic and productive at work. This is probably one of my best investments in office furniture. Don't wait until you start to feel pain in your back before you get one of these. Even if your company does not want to pay for you, get it yourself! You won't regret it!Note that my colleagues have Varidesk and in comparison, this one is much stronger and better design. Varidesk is very flimsy, weak and costs twice as much.

Hipster Coworker with Back Pain Loves it.
Good:Value. We work at a startup that doesn't waste money on ping pong tables and kegs of beer. So that means instead of replacing a perfectly good desk with a $1000 standing desk, we went the more economical route. The desk works great, it's been a few months since we've started using it. It came in a huge box, but everything was essentially pre-assembled, so we could start relieving Malcolm's back pain right away!Bad:At full height, it worked out well, there can be more levels, but it does it's job well enough. The materials are definitely a bit on the plastic side, and not premium by any chance, but you're not buying a premium desk. You're buying pain relief.Protip: don't forget about things like phones plugged into the wall when deciding to extend the platform to the standing position.

Very sturdy.
I ordered this for the nice large deck size. There is lots of room for papers and accessories on the platform along with your monitor. This is a very solid and heavy unit but lifts up and down smoothly and easily once. I enjoy the easily removable keyboard shelf. Be sure to measure your desk height to make sure the keyboard height when using this is not too much; it also makes the monitor quite high. overall a very nice unit.

Sturdy and easy to adjust
I've been using this desk 8 hours a day, 3-5 days a week for about 4 months now, and I'm quite impressed overall. It's super easy to adjust (albeit a bit noisy), and it's stood up well to heavy use, including me leaning on it periodically when not actively typing. My co-worker has a motorized one where the entire desktop lifts, and mine is so much quicker to adjust that I don't think I'd trade if given the option. My only real complaint is one of preference - with it in the lowered position, I find the position of the keyboard and monitor just slightly higher than I would like. This is due in part to having a desk that's probably a bit too high to having this surface added on top, but I do think it would be a bit more flexible if the keyboard tray was lower than the actual desktop, rather than even with the surface. That might compromise the strength though, so maybe it wouldn't be better in the end - who knows?Overall though I really like this desk. If I could justify spending the money on another for my 1 day a week remote work, I'd buy another without a second thought.
