Spirit of Aloha 65 "PINK SPRITZ" Cocktail DRINK OUTSIDE THE BOX - Aloha 65 is like nothing else except perhaps sunshine 😎. A neutral grain spirit infused with just six fresh botanicals including pineapple, lemon, ginger, and scotch-bonnet chilli, Aloha 65 is refreshing and reviving as a long drink with ginger ale, tonic or apple juice, warming on its own over ice, fabulous in cocktails and a delicious lower ABV shot.

Very sweet drink
Very very sweet and feels very sugary as well. Is ok, am glad I tried it but probably won’t be ordering it again anytime soon

Aloha!
My wife is the drinker in our household , so she (not so reluctantly) volunteered to try this Spirit of Aloha 65. Her review is below:I love this product in so many ways!1. The packaging is fabulous - two gorgeous little 50ml bottles of all natural grain based spirit with added pineapple, ginger and chilli, in sea-inspired colours with a cute retro style surf themed label.2. We even get two little cans of Schweppes lemonade as mixers.3. Its maker is British.4. It's got Scotch Bonnet chilli in it! And ginger (my second favourite ingredient in anything).4. It comes with a little book of cocktails to try. So I did try several of them. This drink is 27% vol so I limited myself to four of the suggestions. The A&T was fantastic - just add some Angostura Bitters and tonic water for a lovely refreshing change to your G&T. The Aloha Sangria was gorgeously fruity, with lemonade, some cheap wine I had lurking about from the weekend and a dash of orange juice - reminded me of holidays to the med. The chilled shot was just lovely - just Aloha over some ice and knock it back! But I think my favourite was the Aloha Mary - Bloody Mary with Aloha instead of vodka - sublime. If you want to try something a bit different, give this a go - it's a good price, looks nice and tastes even better.

Cocktails on the Beach
I have tried a few of these spirit and mixer sets in recent months and they make for an interesting delivery. Rather than getting a larger bottle of spirits you instead get the ingredients to make a couple of cocktails. In the case of 'Spirit of Aloha' you get 2 small bottles of the spirit and 2 small cans of Schweppes. We took the lemonade option. You supply the ice and garnish and mix it up. You get two decent sized cocktails out of it.Aloha is a spicy based drink that was invented on the beaches of Hawaii. My partner liked it when mixed with the lemonade. I would say that it marries well with fizzy drinks, and it certainly has a different flavour to it. It can be described as a preferred taste, but it is a nice cocktail and provides a nice alcoholic kick at the end. It was fun to receive the cocktail ingredients together in a little set and would make a nice small gift or secret Santa for someone who enjoys trying new drinks.

Unique in favour
Comes together in a plain box, you get 2 x 50ml aloha, 2 x 150ml Schweppes pink soda and a little booklet which has cocktail recipes inside. Fun eye catching bottle design, bright blue in colour with aloha standing out in yellow. A little niggle, the stickers aren't on straight and one is crumpled up. 27% volume. Easy to open twist tops on the bottles. Can be served in a multiple of ways; as it is over ice, mixed with the soda or lemonade, mix into a cocktail or as a fun shot. The booklet shows a few drinks you can make and try out. Something a little different with a scotch bonnet chilli. At first you taste the ginger, then the chilli. It's not hot/spicy, but you can taste its there. You can't really taste the pineapple at all. Unfortunately not a drink for us. Unique in flavour, which is also vegan and gluten free.

Refreshing drink, very sweet if taken neat
I’ve never tried this spirit before and was intrigued given the unusual ingredients. Neat from the bottle it’s very sweet so in my opinion it needs to either have loads of ice to water the sweetness down or mixed. I tried the classic Aloha, 1 part spirit to 3 parts ginger with ice and a slice. It made a very refreshing drink, the sweetness was balanced out with the ginger and it’s not hot or spicy just a more gentle ginger taste with a slight sweet note from the pineapple. It’s never going to be my go to drink but certainly nice change to have and intrigued to try the other cocktails now. At a fraction under £10 at time of review it’s a little expensive for 100ml of spirit and two small ginger ale cans, but better as a taster to see if you like it or not before buying a larger quantity bottle.
