Yes, it is a bit clunky to maneuver when fully extended but, after getting accustomed to this, I found that it does a pretty good job at trimming off lower branches and suckers on many of my trees. The big plus is that it is made byMakita, the "Toyota" of power tools. I have a small arsenal of their tools and like them all.

Using this to cut a bunch of high branches in my backyard. Through about 10 hours of work I’ve cut maybe 50 branches with average diameter of 3 inches. Saw has done well. Occasionally I will get it bound up when a branch leans on the chain. Although I twisted it all around, it does not seem to have caused any damage. Overall, quite satisfied with this tool.

I was weary of getting this tool but it performed superbly. Battery life was better than expected. Worked great with softer woods, not surprisingly it did have trouble with Hickory but was great with Cedar etc. I was so impressed I might buy the chainsaw too instead of relying on my gas one

I am on the Makita platform and have many batteries so keep this in mind. This item is well made, light weight, and easy to use as far as a pole saw goes. Very pleased.

10" pole saw worked very well cut the tree branches like butter.But the saw is heavy and a bit hard to handle, so be prepared to get a work out.

Bought this to replace an old Echo gas pole saw that seize up. This thing is much easier to handle and the balance is better. It also cuts better than the old gas saw. If you never tried a gas pole saw you cannot appreciate how great this is. No vibration . No noise. Works well for home use. Cannot comment for commercial use.

Light years better than my old 8’ two-cycle saw. This thing is solid, well made and has terrific cutting power. Just be warned, this saw will wear you out if you have lots to do. The double battery and long, sturdy pole adds to the weight. That being said, I would never go back to a gas saw again.
