We bought a pair of the black and they truly block the light. We liked them so much that we bought a pair of pink for our daughter's room. As other reviews have stated, the lighter colors don't block as fully, but they still do an amazing job. Basically, with the black you don't see any light through the curtains. With the pink you can see where the blinds are, as there is a little shadowing on the curtains. However, they still darken the room to the point that you won't be bothered by the light at all.

I work the graveyard shift and was looking for quality blackout curtains. These did not disappoint. Thick enough to keep out light (not even pinpricks coming thru) but easy enough to tie back when not in use. I’m usually pretty sensitive to light waking me during the day and have not had a problem with these. Some reviews gave the impression that you need heavy duty rods to keep these up, I got the Kenney 5/8” Beckett rods from this site and they work just fine.

I'm always a little skeptical of blackout curtains but these did not disappoint. They are heavy and do not let one bit of light through. I purchased black. They came out of the package wrinkle free and because they are a good heavy weight they hang very nicely on my window. Two panels are just barely enough for my 54" wide bedroom window though. I would recommend two packages if getting for a sliding door.

These curtains are amazing!! They are packed tightly in a nice plastic pouch but came out with barely noticeable fold marks. Beautiful, dark black, glossy, soft and very blackout! The most important thing to me was toxic free and I could barely detect any smell on these. I washed them anyway and gave them a quick fluff in the dryer and I did not have to iron them. I am ordering more asap! Oh, and the grommets are burnished copper (go lovely with a classy black curtain rod) and really lovely.

I bought two sets to block all the sun from my large living room (one large set of Windows on each side of the room) . We always hated the glare on the tv and it's nice to not see daylight when you're having a party night that turns into a party morning. Completely blocks the light from coming in, but we also have regular blinds that stay closed as well behind them, so not sure if that helps the curtains or has no effect.

Excellent quality--feels so silky, yet blocks the light in the guest room! After unpackaging, I put them in the dryer on the "freshen up" cycle and they came out with no wrinkles. Even though I ordered the black color, it's amazing how they really do block out light even though they are thin, not bulky. Having a dark room during nap time for little ones or adults is essential. I would recommend this brand to all.

Fits my room perfectly! The curtains probably should be ironed when they come out of the package, but I really didn't care about that so I didn't iron them. I hung them over a month ago and you can still see the folds and wrinkles, but again, I don't really care. Otherwise, they seriously block out pretty much all light. I'm impressed!

These curtains are excellent for creating the atmosphere I wanted in our Theater room. They don't black out as well as I wanted, but I'm happy with their quality for the price.
