Works really well, good audio. After the storm zapped a couple of inputs on a 55" tv, the unit was passed to seveal people who just "knew" that they could fix it, or live with it. Then it came to me! This HDMI Audio extractor solves the audio problem. Has good sound with zero delay. I am using the optical audio to an amp and the analog audio for a headset . While building a backyard video system, I discovered my DVD deck will not output audio via the audio jacks, if I'm using the HDMI output. It automatically cuts it off. Instead of buying a new DVD BluRay player, I found this box. With this little gem, I can run the HDMI from my deck, pull the audio off to go to my audio system and it sounds and looks great. We're the hit of the neighborhood with our Friday night movies!

Worked for two months. I changed this review from a 1 star to a 4 star for the time being. As of now, the product is still not working but the company, Goronya is sending me a new one free of charge. I believe this is fair. If it fails too, I will edit this review appropriately.

Goronya's HDMI Audio Extractor Converter was a great product for only 3 weeks when it stopped reading/converting any DD/DTS 5.1 audio formats. I tried to contact the manufacturer but they don't have a company website and apparently their online business is handled exclusively through Amazon. I am returning it today, not sure yet if giving it a very last try and ordering a new one from Goronya, or if ordering a similat option but from another manufacturer...

Works well no sound lost

Seems to work just fine with my Chromecast connecting to a receiver that does not have HDMI input.

The audio out was of good quality. The HDMI out was terrible with different shades of dark purple producing no quality for a viewing picture.

Great price!!!
