STREAM 2 SEA SPF 20 Biodegradable Mineral Sunscreen, 3 Fl oz Paraben Free Non Greasy and Moisturizing Reef Safe Sunscreen For Face and Body Protection Against UVA and UVB

For a recent trip we purchased 2 reef-safe sunscreens. Coral reefs are damaged and dying throughout the world and the chemicals in sunscreen are believed to be one of the major causes. Reef-safe sunscreens have several differences relative to standard sunscreens, hopefully as they get more popular better formulas will be developed. Stream2Sea is very thick and difficult to rub in. It left our skin with a white cast. It effectively protected our pale skin from the Hawaiian sun. Please consider a reef safe sunscreen, protecting the reefs is worth the compromises.

As a diver, my #1 goal in buying this sunscreen is to protect the reef from harmful chemicals. So for that reason, I am totally satisfied and would buy again. It’s important to note that this is a physical sunscreen that leaves the wearer pale white and needs to be reapplied often (as it can easily be rubbed off), but I have yet to find a better alternative that I have such confidence in reef safety. Do not buy this stuff. It was terrible. So hard to spread, it didn’t protect and the worst part was that it did not absorb. Just left white film all over my skin. Yuk.

We buy the whole reef safe product line for our snorkeling trips. All of them work well, I am not as fond of the sunscreen as it never wholly soaks in and remains visible on face the whole day.

Purchased this to be conscientious about protecting the reefs for recent trips to both Mexico and Hawaii. The product works well as a sunblock and is certified reef safe. However, it goes on thick and does not absorb well, leaving you looking white and pasty when used on your face. If your not concerned about looking like a ghost on the beach then all good. The fine print directions do recommend using only a very small amount, like a little dap and work it in well. A little goes a long way and this does help but any tan you may have will be greatly diminished. Again, it is an affective sunblock but not my personal favorite.

Provides excellent protection from sun. I had not worn sunscreen the first day at the beach so I was sunburned starting the second day. Product provided excellent protection and I was able to be in the sun the second day without any issue. It was difficult to spread but the up side is it stayed on while swimming in ocean.

Recent trip to the Caribbean prompted the purchase to be ocean and reef compliant. It worked very well and was not sticky or greasy. Will purchase again for our new swimming pool at home.

Great for every day use. If calling out boating or to the beach or golfing for a full day in the sun you might want to use a heavier sunscreen.
